There ya go. Mystery solved.A photograph from 1941 of the re-opening of the South Forks Bridge in Gold Bridge, Canada, was alleged to show a time traveler.[SUP][19][/SUP] It was claimed that his clothing and sunglasses were modern and not of the styles worn in the 1940s.[SUP][20][/SUP][SUP][21][/SUP] The photo originated from the Bralorne Pioneer Museum, and was featured in their virtual exhibit Their Past Lives Here, produced and hosted through investment by theVirtual Museum of Canada (VMC).[SUP][22][/SUP]
Further research suggests that the modern appearance of the man may not have been so modern. The style of sunglasses first appeared in the 1920s, and in fact Barbara Stanwyck can be seen wearing a similar pair in the film Double Indemnity three years later. On first glance the man is taken by many to be wearing a modern printed T-shirt, but on closer inspection it seems to be a sweater with a sewn-on emblem, the kind of clothing often worn by sports teams of the period. The remainder of his clothing would appear to have been available at the time, though his clothes are far more casual than those worn by the other individuals in the photograph.[SUP][23][/SUP]
Debate centers on whether the image genuinely shows a time traveler, has been photomanipulated, or is simply being mistaken as anachronistic.[SUP][23][/SUP] The “Time Traveling Hipster” became a case study in viral Internet phenomena in museums which was presented at the Museums and the Web 2011 conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[SUP][24]
obviously he isnt googling much cause this is what i found in 2 seconds[/SUP]
I think you're just trying to make excuses for us to believe you, look I KNOW vintage, I am the vintage fucking queen I could open up 12 shops with the amount of clothes i have lol its 1941 not the 1800's if they could get print on ties they could get print on tshirts, as much as I would love time travel to be real , and have evidence this photo has been proven multiple times over to just be a casual university student with fashionable shades a sweater he probably made himselfFYI, I own a thrift store. I KNOW vintage and fabric. The vest in the photo of the college student does not have the same quality as the photo of the faux time travel when I examine it up close in my own photoshop program.
wait...what? I'll have you know I said it fi....aaaah fuck it. Kudos, sunniWow sunni, you cracked the case, thread over. Nice work
