I can't hate on super cars, I used to sell Porsche and BMW but I can't justify cost-performance. You can literally buy a 1000+ HP whatever the fuck you want, a house, the 2 person submarine from the Brookestone catalog And a 10 acre self sustainable farm in CO. Just sayin

yes indeedy canndbineer, they went the twin turbo route on the new one.. i love me some turbo power, don't get me wrong, but that zonda r was one of the meanest sounding cars i've heard..
i too love when cars blow fire out of the exhaust, speaks to the primal side of me..
idk how much you follow f1 bear, but they're supposed to be going the turbo route in 14, which i'm not all that excited about tbh.. yeah, they're going to be wicked fast again, but a very big part of going to a grand prix is most definitely the sounds, and if they don't sound like my idea of what an f1 car should sound like, well, that's not good, lol.. i'm sure i'm not the only one who feels that way though..

yeah, the thing about it is though imo, is if you can afford a super car like a ferrari or even more so a veyron, then more then likely you already have the 10 acre self sustaining farm and the 2 person submarine..
a super car is more than likely not the elites first purchase, and they more then likely already have 100 other toys to play with a dropping a couple hundred grand for them is like our going out to eat at a nice restaurant..

Not so long ago I saw the film "senna". i was deeply impressed by how much raw talent it takes to drive those cars, let alone win the way he did. If "Percy Jackson" were real, I'd say Senna was the child of Apollo or the brother of Phaëton. cn

i'm pretty sure the veyron's put out upwards of 1k hp c/n.. and they have a new(er) sport model which the name is slipping me atm, that's well about 1k, i'm thinking more like 12oo or so..
it's the one i think it was james may took up to over 240 mph on the vw test track somewhere in germany in an episode of top gear.

Sounds suspiciously like aftermarket.
And I also admit I like the modern niceties like antilock, full-independent suspension and electronic engine management.
Also, I'm not a drag racer at heart so I'd be more interested in the time around the 'Ring than brute acceleration.
That said and forgiven, tell me about the warranty and local shops I can trust to keep it purrin'. cn

i'm so pissed at myself cannabineer.. when i go to the grand prix, i use the tour group called gp tours... they do an amazing job to say the least but they're pretty expensive for the kind of money i don't make..
anyhoo, when i went to the belgian grand prix, they had an add on for the tour where you could pay i think it was another $500 or so to get taken around the Ring in a street car driven by a professional driver.. i forget all what kind of car it was or even if they disclose that, but i'd imagine it'd be a shit load of fun, and i really regret not plopping the extra cash down for the ride..

I remember the W8 with those aero-spec color-anodized fittings under the hood.
I liked it ... looked like a Lamborghini Countach for folks who couldn't pronounce it.
