Indoor light cycle for outdoor grow?

I've got a few good seedlings going 24 hrs under a couple
T12's and im planning on puttin them outdoors around
april 15th.

My question is, does anyone "have experience going from
24hr cycle indoor and moving outdoors with a good outcome?
I've read mixed posts and threads on it an some say it works
others say it doesnt.

If this situation wouldnt work what would be your best advice
on what I should do about lighting? I'm as far west in Ky as
you can go bordering the river if that gives you a better idea
of my light cycle outdoor in spring and the climate.

Thank you, in advance.

doing that will shock them and send them into flower.
Slowly and yes slowly take them down to 14 hours.

I also had the same question, would you suggest just having the light cycle be on 12/12 then throw them outside in mid April so they can continue to veg or will I be ok with 18/6 for the first month then throw them outiside?>THANKS!

I veg my plants 18/6 for 2 months under t-5's. As soon as it's warm enough I put them outside. I try to put a few plants outside every 30 days so i get a perpetual harvest all year long.

When using non-feminized seeds, sexing is mandatory anyways...unless you wish to spend the summer watering pollen producers. I veg for a few weeks, then flip the switch...from there females go strait in the ground where they quickly revert back to veg until August.

Did you veg them at 18/6?
Also when you put them outside was 12-13 hours of sunlight enought to keep them vegging out? Im trying to avoid them revegging.. Thanks!

They go straight to flower once I put them outside.. I mostly grow Strawberry Diesel and they are ready to harvest after about 8 - 9 weeks of flower..

im new to this forgive me! say i veg my plants for 2 months, inside, 18/6.. and by late april, i throw them outside .. ... MJ flowers on 12/12 light cycle.. I'd say the sun shines from about 6:30 around here.. and no light by about 7pm.. ..

ughmm.. i feel dumb as i ask this, but will my ladies start flowering once introduced to the real outside world?

does a 24+ hr dark period help this out?

i hear you got to harden your MJ plants to Outdoor light.. im vegging under cfls.. i would plan on throwing my plants in some sort of shade for the first week to get it adapted to the intense light..

have i asked too many newb questions?

tryong out my first OD this year.. a perpetual 2013 OD would be awesome!

Western Kentucky? In April hmm. Look and see what the sunrise/sunset is in your area...probably good n long by mid. April..if not it will be for sure by may 1st....I have always put seedlings from t5s under 24 hours directly. Outside in may with zero problems.

But in July the sun is much more intense so I put em in shade for a couple days before direct sunlight

I meant 13 hrs of sunlight not 14 lol. So would it be better
to veg them for a couple more weeks on 24/0 then go 12/12
and sex them then put em in the ground? Or should I veg them
for a couple weeks on 24 hr and slowly drop an hour till I
hit natures timing with light and dark?

I've been reading alot lately and have actually seen that some
people claim that once they veg, flower then reveg that they
produce a larger plant, yeild and more potent. Some confusing
stuff I tell ya.

Last year I started a skunk strain indoor under 24 hours for two
weeks in march then switched to 12/12, she showed me her
vagina so i threw her outside in mid april and she had pistols
on her growth even the new growth all summer up till late august.
Just so happen she started to fully flower.

To be in a 3 gal container she was a monster and yeilded a
dry 3 and half oz of the sparkliest, stickiest, potent and stinkiest
bud I ever grown. Think that may have been the reason? Because
she revegitated? But what was confusing is even in her new
growth from the time she was put out is she still formed pistols
all summer long for months then fully flowered with the rest.
