There have been radar planes flying low for two straight days now. There are so many of them anywhere you go you can see two of them within your line of sight.

Its not rare to see these planes but they normally fly much higher and there are far less.

I really hope they are just training

that's not uncommon although they don't shoot blanks like in that video . We have Black hawks that constantly train with troops repelling out of them

Its the little things that have me on edge. Like the increase in detection aircraft , and the Humvee escorts for supply caravans mounted their machine guns. They never have mounted their guns before

Im sure they are just training, its cool to see honestly.

You've got more to fear from the DHS then military personel, especially your SF folks... Running this type of training is what saves people in hostage crisies... Would you rather they not train and inadvertantly kill hostages or innocents when attempting a rescue? Tha's what sets you guys apart from say russia...

Why would you need Blackhawk helicopters to rescue a hostage? Is hostage taking a common occurrence in the USA? so common that they need to train for it constantly? According to Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hostage_crises there have been less than 20 in the USA since 1789. So basically we are spending MILLIONS on something that only happens once a decade on average, sounds like a great use of taxpayers money. NOT!

Okay not even gonna explain why SF need helos to assault a target. You do understand combat operations over the last decade have centered around urban areas and real world training is essential? Furthermore do you understand the reasons behind training like you fight or that CAPEX (capability exercises) also provide a cruicial deterent against hostage taking? There's a reason the US has not experience a mumbai style attack...

Well, let me say in all sincerity, we are entering the 2013 North Hemi fighting season. We have shown the necessary bait to draw in our enemies. Let's just see what happens.

I grew up on AFBs and we always called it the sound of Freedom. And that was before they had to knock off the Booms. We had glorious booms, everyday.

How does a gun ship save a hostage? Soon as your gun ship blazes in, they kill the hostage. You ever save a hostage? I have. Former Marine here, saved a few Army fellas in Mogadishu a while back. What experience do you have with hostage rescue?

Former soldier who served in Afghanistan. While I've never conducted a live hostage rescue, we've trained for it and supported units that do this all day, everyday. And in most cases, dependent on location/geography used helos, in some capacity.

Ireland, Taiwan and Israel have something very real, in common with the USA. (and there may be a few others, Swiss, India, Pakistan, etc) We took and we hold what is ours by force. Self rule. No Monarch. Self determined future.

It you don't have that and a Constitution that protects the right do that (just read through the Irish version)
you can't understand how we take these Rights as Duty. You don't get that we struggled to get here and WE will keep it. We don't depend on govt, as much as govt workers simply want that.

By force??? Ireland has stricter gun laws than Australia and in Taiwan ownership of a firearm for the most part ILLEGAL. So how will they "keep that"?

How high is US unemployment? Public Debt? And how low is the poverty threshold? Fuck for the most part your economies are OWNED.

You don't know what the fuck you're talking about, but that's nothing new... 3,241 posts and counting of complete bullshit...
