say wut? 1oz per gallon? where you get that from?
I am no wheres close to California, I am way up in Canada. 1/2 pound to 3/4 pounds off a 7 foot plant is pretty decent up here. I usually cannot wait for buds to reach full maturity, usually harvesting at approx 7 weeks flowering due to mold issues and hunters. Strain also comes into play when judging yeild, a pure indica with a high bud to leaf ratio will produce some very thick, dense heavy buds, as opposed to more sativa dominant strains developing more of an "airy" fluffy bud. In the past, I have had much bigger plants with bigger harvests, but I was referring to plants that I had grown in 25 gallon half barrels, because it was in relation to the thread. Ive pulled 23 ounces off a single plant that was grown in the ground that was about 9 feet tall and 8 feet wide, truly a marijuana bush, but of course that required months of veg time before it was put outdoors.
A lot of people would be very satisfied with pulling a half pound off a 7 foot plant. Need I remind you that I grow guerrilla style, these plants being in the middle of the forest, only being checked on once a week to water. Also I was talking about particular plants in relation to this thread, in my experience, from 25 gallon half barrels, that is what I yielded, of course I have have bigger plants with bigger yields, but those were in the ground, not in pots. Pots dry out very quickly, especially on a sunny day, its very easy to go grab your garden hose and water every day, but if your carrying water by buckets, its not worth my time to go trek through the woods for hours every day to water. So what exactly are your methods to pull much more than 3/4 pounds from a 7 foot plant in a 25 gallon pot, Id certainly like to hear them, got any specific nutrients you like to use for veg and flowering or certain training methods?

Pot size only matters if the plant you are growing, roots actually fill up the pot. You could put a plant in a hundred gallon container, it does not mean all plants in hundred gallon containers will yeild pounds and pounds, it depends on how much of the plants root system has actually grown throughout the pot. Of course I know, I am not down in california, in the nice warm states, I am way up in canada with a short growing season, achieving a pound plant around here is something to be proud of.
