Trimming top leaves

I'm growing under T5HO and the plants are doing great. The only thing I'm concerned about it light getting to the underside since the top leaves are enormous they are shading a bit. I have LST'd and managed to get some extra light to it that way but I want to find out if I can trim those top fan leaves back (take the tips off) to provide more light to the undergrowth.

They are growing so damn fast I can't keep up! LOL

Cut the leaves off, so you can grow more leaves, ... so you can cut more leaves off ? Sounds like an eating disorder.
If you want more light in the lower levels of the canopy then add more lighting. Including some side lighting.

Sounds good!
Keep an eye on 'em, I got a couple burned leafs by them growing up into the bulb, but IMO, a few smaller bulbs (13w) would be better to surround the plant rather than one larger one and have to rotate the pot every few hours to keep her from leaning towards the light.

alright I will, and I'll see about getting a CFL lamp and getting the other one out of the bathroom where I started my peppers and throw one on each side. I don't know how much longer I can keep them inside at the rate they are going! :D

LST them girls. Bend em over so the leaves don't block the light. But don't pluck em !!
Yeah I need to do that too. Had appointments today and my dang timer decided not to come on this morning. UGH! the girls got a long nap. Hope it doesn't stunt them :(

Rosie girl you know I love you, but I have to ask you a question about how many T fives you have set up.
I have wonderful results under 4 foot four tube T fives and your vegetation state doesn't nearly look as good as mine; if your current grow journal is up to date.
These are plants under five weeks of vegetation from clone planting.IMG_0350.jpgIMG_0351.jpgdouble1 6.jpg1 6AK47a.jpg The mystery plant pictured in the orange bucket was 26 inches tall and the AK-47 on the far right was 24 inches tall.
I really would like to see your light set up and maybe I could help you out a little bit.

Only the one T5HO, yeah, I know I need more light, I'm working on that. It was all I could afford at the time. Too many irons in the fire, I'll have the cash the first of the month to buy a couple more to daisy chain. I know my setup sucks but it's all I got for now. I do have a CFL lamp I'm going to put on them for the sides.

If your interested in CFLs, get an:
3x E36 socket adapter ($1.59)
3x Y Splitter (.59C)
Power Strip ($3-$10)

That will give you 6 light sockets, and get 23-26 Watt bulbs.

30$, got another 150 Watts running through your set up.
