Healthcare. Checkmate.i'll repeat the question since blindness and dementia are symptoms of syphilis: when have i advocated for socialism?
how so?Healthcare. Checkmate.
how so?
a public option to compete with private providers is MORE competition.
and why are private, for profit providers so scared of a public option? i thought their contention was that government can't do anything right or as well as the private sector.
so please do explain to me how more competition and private insurers is socialism.
"Option" implies being able to say no. cnhow so?

I don't know how to answer your feeling here. It's a tough world and more gentle here than anywhere. I'm pretty sure the lure of Utopia was written out first thing. Free to chase happiness.I am intrigued. i see myself as an I but not a WE. How do I bring my bit of power to <cough!> bear on two problems I see as pressing: 1) brutality by police, and 2) the fact that we still structure prisons in such a way that the ass ain't safe? cn
so people can't say no to the public option and opt for the for profit, private providers?"Option" implies being able to say no. cn
If both choices boil down to "pay the man, sweetie", and no nonpaying choice is included, I don't see that they can be called optional. cnso people can't say no to the public option and opt for the for profit, private providers?
the non-paying choice is to be poor, like mr. neutron. that way you can get it for free.If both choices boil down to "pay the man, sweetie", and no nonpaying choice is included, I don't see that they can be called optional. cn
I have read this with care and have been unable to find the method/procedure for doing what I sought. For me to have tangible power or influence, I working alone must be able to effect change that is demonstrably nonzero, even if it is tiny. "Casting a losing vote" I consider to have zero effect. cnI don't know how to answer your feeling here. It's a tough world and more gentle here than anywhere. We can even knock ourselves out.
The 9th says you have the right to decide to not follow the Law, even. And you can form action committees, band together, bend the tyranny of settled opinion.
As far as the Man. Well, it is all a big plot by the Man to keep the brothers down, init it?"
So, my fine forum friend, these are fine debate points. And nothing that one person can do about any of it, but, be REAL unto your self. I get along by being a sativa chameleon (#32, Rules of Power) and I take to heart that our Founders were stoners and set this up so we didn't have to give up. They wanted it to be a success and they knew there would be trouble.
It sorts on Merit, I think, the Capital I've been talking about.
All struggle, it is sort of like Buddhism without the re-incarnation or karma. Very Red, very Left. Yet, here is the home of the brave, the ceaseless struggle. It has not gotten worse, but the gangs are running the prisons, now. Stay out.
And, I fought the Pigs. I got tossed inside. I carried around a Buddhist text and the big black dudes were somewhat dumbfounded at the things I'd say.
It's been said before, but I had a little ole Epiphany of Self. I cease struggle only when I be myself and mind me and mine. Resting at Now.
But, I still have the magic papers and I have no right to see myself as any different from those who's lives lead to govt service. And with Rights are Responsibilities, some are called to Duty requiring great Honor of all kinds. And in that I can still Hope for the (che-ist, in my mind) Republic. I see us all in the same boat, like it or not.
If I don't stand for WE after all this largess before me, I see myself as a bit un-realistically un-grateful, these days.
And being raised in the Texas school system, I'm constantly amazed how easy this generation and the last few just seem to be giving up.
Ya know what? Even, you don't worry or you really worry, OK. But, I don't worry because WE are in charge. It's just so subtle these days. Why?
I am so glad you asked. We have to be very careful WE don't get pissed off like we did about Viet Nam. So, the system is tested again. The 4th Wheel the Press only wants a little blood not a wipe out, so they have no desire to piss the Peps off either. The Press just wants to influence the market segments, sell advertising. The advertisers Lobby Congress and make goodies for us.
The 5th wheel is the Armed and should not be pissed off, WE. The actual Militias in every State that have their own plans.
My point (at last) It doesn't get truly ugly in the USA, these days, only because WE, the entire ball of undifferentiated citizens desire it to be balanced and subtle looking to raise the youts. And the Constitution defines what I have to worry about....nothing.
Damn right, Che was a murderous raping asshole. His ass got what he deserved. You sound a lot like a fascist.
My wife's work sent the wrong name. She just got around to changing her name, because we found our marriage certificate after all these years. The IRS is now accusing us of tax fraud. It stole our whole refund, or "welfare" as you call it. Her work even contacted the IRS, but it's not having any of it. We got fined/penalized the whole thing and they garnished her wages for the rest.yep, getting to enjoy all the benefits of the greatest nation on earth is akin to being fucked in the ass.*
have another conniption for our amusement, racist rabbit.
*glad to hear you've been exploring your sexuality with your wife and her BBC
so you guys fuck up and that's the government's fault? My wife's work sent the wrong name. She just got around to changing her name, because we found our marriage certificate after all these years. Some greatest nation. Sounds like something Somalia would do.
So we sue her work, still don't get shit, but she loses her job?so you guys fuck up and that's the government's fault?
i thought you were part of the party of personal responsibility. what happened to that?
OK, fair enough and if this is a private emerging problem for you and needs specifics to discuss, you can just send me a PM.I have read this with care and have been unable to find the method/procedure for doing what I sought. You really think, that the government - which can rewrite laws to their own benefit, operate at a loss for very long periods of time and forcibly take whatever resources necessary should be competing with private business (which can do absolutely none of those things)?how so?

What do you suppose the inevitable end result of this policy will be?
It's pretty easy to see based on history and the objective facts.
Haha! You're so full of shit. Every child gets free, or very low payment health insurance if the parents make too much.An 8 year old who goes begging for glasses so she can see to do her schoolwork in the United States? really? REALLY?
