I love it. It takes me back to my school days in the wood work and metal work shop.

I forgot how much I loved it when we had to make things from our own design.

It's all coming back to me now and I love it.

It seems like it's a part of my life that's been missing.

Fixing sh*t, lol.

Feels like I'm regaining a forgotten part of myself.

The ladies in day 1 week 2 of flowering now under 400 watt HPS.








As I said, The Expert Haze above is sticking her single stem head up trying to over take IDW.

I dont know how she ended up with a single stem head.

The last plant that tried that in this garden, got beheaded.

You would have thought she would have learned from history.

Some of the ladies have started showing pistils.

Dont chop er head off now lol, theres good bud sites there thatll just be a stump lol. Have you checked the difference in temps from the top of IDW to the shortest plants? They look good bro, how much has the temp shifted since you switched lights?

I know everyone is saying don’t behead her whilst in flowering and I understand that I would lose weight from that individual plant and all of my research says don’t do it.

But I think I would gain overall from the canopy being more even without her sticking her single stem up, plus she's got buds all over her that would get more light so they will benefit greatly also and provide bigger buds.

So how much will I really lose?

So I may experiment and see what weight I end up with, I'm curious.

I just have the thermometer perched on the lip of the pots, so no.

How would I do this and what is the significance?

The temps shifted dramatically when I moved one of the big girls in front of the fan and then dropped back down when I moved it the hell away from the fan, lol.

The temps have hardly really shifted due to good fan positioning and crucially using the exhaust system, so that's taking the hot air right out of there, I have that on whenever the lights are on.

Interestingly since it's still winter I have hardly had to use the intake fan to bring in cold air.

Only occasionally do the temps go into the high 70's prompting me to turn on the intake to get cool air in.

I'm really getting to know the environment.

I guess it's like a musical instrument, you have to play with it to get to know it's characteristics.

Nope, once your showing bud sites you only loose if you cut parts off once you pass a point. How far are you in, sorry, lotsa threads but if you just bend it, it doesnt care which way it grows....aaaand if you want to know how much you could potentially loose, just look at a trophy bud and think about it gone. Letter go, bend it and tie it down if nething, please dont cut it unless your still vegging party on broski lol

Very good argument and I'm familiar with it, but like I said from the start I'm doing a few experiments in this my first grow, so the heads gone.

Will be interesting to see how the other buds will respond to more light (it's covered in buds).

Now for the experiment I will be growing another of her variety in future grows (head intact when I have a taller Sativa only tent) I will then be able to compare and contrast the yields.

That's one for the future, should be good.

Murderer !!! Lol, ah well. I was wondering aboutthe temps at the top cause mine are 6 degrees different from the ground to the top of the canopy thats all. I only worry about the top of the canopy temp. My friend was taking his temps right on the floor and i drilled a screw in tje wall and put his temp gauge up at the top and it was 5 degrees different. It might not be so drastic cause your ladies are short

It could be asked what is the definition of grow room temp?

The lip of the pots I use are around 10 inches of the ground so that's where my temps come from.

I guess I could suspend my temp gauge to mid plant level, that would give the average temp, perhaps.

The right temp is 78 and at night....idk off hand, i think 65 but not sure, low night time temps make nice color and frost though.

That's more for your Blueberry type strains if I'm not mistaken.

Too low a temp and you can slow down the metabolism of the plant so caution needs to be exercised with low temps from what I've read.

From what I've read you don’t want to let your lights off temps stray more that 10-15 deg F from the day time temps.

I'm within that range so I'm alright.

If you have a temp humidity electronic gauge you can reset it every night to get your highest and lowest temps.

I'm at 78- 65 too, give or take a couple deg f.

Hmmm, I wonder what the consensus view is on this.

Top of the plant, bottom of the plant or middle of the plant?

I'm gonna do some research on this, seems like pretty important issue.

At the part of the plants closest to the lights bro! Don't worry about soil temp and the floor temp as im indoor and the indoor temp is always around 64-65, so the temp in my is about 10 degrees more with the lights I have.
I've read as long as you temps dont swing more than 15 degrees from day to night you'll be straight! Only one guy on here that I've talked to thinks he experienced slow growth from cooler night temps..The rest don't really sweat it unless your temps are pretty extreme
