Whats up fellas and ladys, So im getting ready to start my first grow using a 400w. Im currently using a 250w and have been using this 250 for the past 2 years. but like everyone told me when i bought the 250...its a waste, your just gonna buy a 400 anyway...its true, i folded and have bought a 400w air hood. i cant complain though, the 250 and me had some good times together and she grew me some pretty good bud too...(wait what?) jk. OK now on to my grow. AT this moment i dont have my 400w setup, im using my 250. my light should be here sometime this week maybe wed-thur. im growing im my closet i have a space of 3'x2'x4' ill be using either a 1 or 3 gallon hempy bucket with 3:1 perlite. my nutes are gh flora micro and bloom under the lucas formula. im planning on doing a scrog but idk about this grow since its an auto flower it might not have enough time to spred the scrog, but maybe it will cuz shes a big devil strain and they get pretty big for autos. As for cooling and venting, i got all that taken care of. to cool my light im using a 6" 440cfm inline fan and for intake im using a 4" booster fan. ill have some pics soon as i set everything up, maybe a week or so.

since im so anxious about starting my 400w i just thought i throw up some pics of the 250 setup and the plant i got flowering now. shes a blackjack bean from nirvana and shes had problems from the start. ive grown this strain twice before so i know what she likes. i think it was just a bad seed that i couldnt give up on lol. shes looking ok now but im not gonna see anywhere what im use to for yield, maybe an ounce :/ let me know whats u guys think. Your plants look good! Yeah, that 400w will do you well in that space. Looks like heat build up won't be a problem for you either with your exhaust setup. Love my 400 in my 2 X 3 closet.

finally got my shit set up. im a little disappointed though even with all the venting i cant keep my light on 100% temps get to 88. not so bad and doable for these cold months but after that i gotta dim to 75% where temps right now are staying at 76. besides that everythings running smoothly. i got some before and after pics of the setup (kinda looks the same but in person its really different). the blackjacks lovin the...300w i guess lol, shes already perked up a bit since the lights been on. the 2 big devils are well i like to call them big devil and little devil...youll see my point. the healthy bd going into a 5gallon bucket w/perlite, if the Ld can pick it up than maybe shell get a bucket too but if not then ta hell with her. im planning on scroging but idk well see how she goes as she gets bigger. comment, give me some feedback. Agreed. This tek is from elsewhere, but it rocked. I have made it
through complete grow with zero smell issues.

Good luck,

im thinking about transplanting the big devil today. i got a 5gallon bucket with a homemade screen for scroging above it. i got bored last night and and made it out of chop sticks, foil tape and green wire. looks pretty good if i do say so myself and strong as hell. i mean u cant huck it off a roof or anything but still very strong.

im wondering...since i started the bd in soil, would it be ok for me to transplant into the perlite without having any issues?

Just a quick update on the BD, i transplanted her into perlite today into a 5gallon bucket. ill probably end up putting in the screen in maybe 3-4 days but we shall see. SAM_2707.jpgSAM_2708.jpgSAM_2709.jpg

its only been 4 days since the last pics were taken but shes looking really good so far. it seems the transplant had no effect as far as slowing down growth, it actually seems to have sped up a bit. i started her in FFOF soil, let her get a nice root ball then transplanted. ive watered her 3 times so far, the first watering after transplant i gave her 5ml flora micro and 10ml flora bloom, also i used 1 drop of superthrive (read some good stuff about it and i think it works well). the second watering was spring water and the 3rd was the same as the first minus the superthrive. so all in all, everything seems to be going great so far. i put in the screen yesterday, its a little flimsy but it should work (hopefully). if i can fill the whole screen with tops ill be looking at 36 nice sized buds that will yield me hopefully 8oz. ill try and post some pics sooner rather then later until then stay high and peace! oh yea...write something motherfuckers im tired of talking to myself here lol.

Sure thing Javadog, its just hard to take pics now that i put in the screen, i cant really move the plant around. ill def take some tonight before the light goes on so u guys can see the progress shes makin. i can honestly say that if she continues to take root like shes doing, this plant is gonna be a very high yield (knock on wood lol)

I have high hopes for you.

I tried Autos which were new to me. Then I grew an SOG of
one-stalk lollipos. ...but I have not done a SGROG yet, so I look
forward to how this turns out.

Take care,

JD

I have not SGROGed yet....will you take those main branches
and try to get them to go through the holes farther out with the
idea that their sub-branches will fill the holes nearer in?

Or let them stay in the holes they are near now with the idea that
the lower down, side branches will fill the outer holes?

Good luck!
