Took mine to Hawaii. Filled a carmex container with wax and put a thin layer of carmex back over the top. Would be nearly impossible for airport security to detect. Just looks like a jar of carmex. Thing was awesome. Could puff in restaurants or walking down busy streets and no one even gave us a second look.

Be careful with that. Airport scanners use a system that works in colors and covered or not, that method will glow like an orange light bulb when organics go through it. I think the person watching must have been half asleep to let it through.

im looking to get either the cloud or the dabR pen

wondering which one is better. how often do you have to change the atomizer or whatever and does yours get all gooped up and dirty and is it easy to clean?

Just got the ruvaped.com "got vaped" dome set. It's by far the heaviest hitting pen I've tried. It doesn't replace a dab, but it is definitely the equivalent of a huge bong hit or two.

The only knock against it is that in order to get that big a hit, it heats the wax really hot so you don't get a good flavor.

I'd put this one at number 1 over all, and definitely the heaviest hitter.

The original G pen with the nail tank is the best for flavor while still giving you a decent sized hit.

I have to RMA my cloud pen. It just stopped working after 2 weeks. I shot them an email so lets see how they take care of me. If I don't get treated right I will be picking up another RUvaped pens. I may add the dome but the pen alone hits well enough for me.

In the meantime I picked up another Micro Vape from www.ruvaped.com with the glass dome attachment like Dan suggested. Love it and haven't had one hiccup with either of the units we have.

Pro tip: Take the ruvaped pen /w dome, hold down the button to 3-4 seconds before hitting, let go. Then hit it pressing down and letting go of the button in two second intervals. If you do this you can get really great flavor out of it while still getting a big rip.

Now that I've figured out how to get good flavor out of it, I'm convinced it's by far the best pen ever. I've tried a lot of pens and none come close.

Thanks Dan. The wife and I were playing with the dome attachment last night and found that out! She still likes the hit on the straight pen and small tank. I prefer the larger tank or the dome but I'm going through oil like flowers now. LOL

It can be loaded with a big glob but depending on your use it may not last the night. The tank only takes so much oil. I usually have to refill every couple of hours if I use it regularly.

You can pack it with ~6 big hits. But it's not like normal vap pen hits, it's much bigger. I'd say each hit is half way between a bong hit and a dab in terms of effectiveness.

I've used a couple different kinds and IMO I like the trippy stick or the micro vape vaped pen with the globe attachment. They seem to hit the best and last the longest. That's just from what I've tried so far.

I just got my Vaped pen. I went with the deluxe kit because I was unsure about which options to choose and it is fairly inexpensive. So far, I like it a lot. I can see that it will be great for travel. It will be nice to have an option besides rolling joints when I'm at some hotel or staying at a non-smoking friend's house.

However, the Vaped pen is not good for the use I originally had in mind; to be able to take it with me on a night out and not to have to refill while out. I go to a lot of concerts and I usually smoke a few joints at the concert (unless it Carnegie Hall or something, then I eat one of my homemade canna-caramels). In in the past year or so, I have almost gotten tossed out for smoking a few times. Here in NYC, it seems like a lot less people smoke weed at concerts these days. Considering that I mostly go to jam band shows, I am really puzzled by the change. (Young people today!) A few years ago, I almost never had an issue as long as I was discrete. Anyway, I'm looking for a pen that I can fill with enough oil to be the equivalent of 1-3 potent joints.

I guess I need to buy one of those canister vape pens, but which one? There are so many! Any advice?

One more comment on the Vaped pen, in case the makers happen to read this...

It would be really nice if the heating element was on a hinge so that it was not over the ceramic bowl when you are filling. If you used a spring, you could make it so that it closes when the mouth piece is inserted.

I recently got the micro vape pen cherry pie edition $70 and the glass globe attachment for another $50 and it's the globe that make it awesome! I used the pen by itself and it was fine took about a gram hit good I was happy. Then I loaded up the glass globe witch took about 1.2 -1.3 ish and the glass globe makes it so much better! Bigger hits and more product! Definitely worth the extra $50 4sure! Ill use the globe while at home but use the pen by itself for on the go!

I use the ruvaped glass dome as well. Biggest heating element out there. I replaced the mouth piece with a ecig hookah style tip and it's much more natural. Like Dan said, no pen will hit like a rig but this one will get you there.

For anyone who has access to lots of high grade wax -

I recommend you get the globe with the extra nails package. Keep packing each nail full of the same strain. The first 3-4 hits with a new nail taste shitty, but after that it will taste more and more like the strain is supposed to. The taste gets better over time. I have a blue dream nail, an OG nail, a girl scout cookies nail, and a high cbd nail. It's awesome. Because I'm hitting only one strain out of the same nail they are building up an incredible taste.
