It was probably a personal fantasy of Lil' Kim to meet him...(?)

Which brings me to my theory of why this latest turmoil is happening. The country has been feeding its people "The West Is Bad" propaganda for decades. So when it's viewed on their national tv that Rodman is hanging with Lil' Kim, the hardliners in power were afraid it was sending mixed signals to their people. So he has to publicly poke the US with a stick to show he believes (and in turn so should his people) that the west is still the enemy.
