i find western europeans are most averse to the 2nd amendment. i think it stems from a mentality that has developed over centuries that governments are oppressive and you just have to deal with it.

they have been ruled by so many different people over the years that they just kind of give up hope of being the ones in control.

leave peoples right to wash clothes out of this....now you fucking with my money !!!
I don't have stake in laundromats nor do I use one so consider my opinion unbiased on this subject. Laundromats have been known as a fact to possibly be a cause of spreading diseases and the brown recluse spider. This could lead to thousands of deaths that have the laundromat as the root cause. I'm not saying we need to ban all laundromats, but we don't need all of the ones that are out there now. We also don't need those great big washing machines. How often are you going to wash a king size comforter? those things are dry clean only ffs!!

this is another problem with government that requires citizens to reserve the right to threaten their own government with violent action. government is run by humans. humans make bad decisions on occasion. humans often make decisions based on their own self interests.

humans make errors. large groups of human make large errors.

i'm not saying that all decisions our government has made are errors because there are some excellent decisions our gov't has made, but there is a large potential for corruption within governments because humans are humans. the threat of violence against the government is a long term insurance policy against unchecked corruption.

is there a price to pay for this insurance policy? yes, just as there is a price you pay for the insurance policy for your house, car, etc., but the short term cost of the policy for our nation to insure itself against tyranny is the blood of it's citizens. this is a small price to pay for the amount of coverage you get because the insurance policy covers 300 million people at the cost of a few.

if i had a $300 million investment, i would gladly pay $900,000 every year to insure my $300 million investment that continues to grow and collect interest.

if you (impersonal you) are of the opinion that we should trust government, simply harken back to the days of a president that you did not like and ask yourself, would you trust that man with all your money or children? i wouldn't even trust the presidents that i felt did well for the country.

you can't trust government implicitly. government is run by humans. humans err.

Guy we speaking of the items to be banned...and how much you pay for your tax stamp to own that. Got ammo ?? You a dealer ..What type permit/license you have??? Got a link to that 500 dollar no paperwork needed m203
Don't need a tax stamp, or any paperwork filled out, OTC sales, totally legal. Don't need a permit, a license or even a bubble gum comic.

Ammo? Different kinds of ammo, some are too costly to buy, plus the HE rounds have to have paperwork filled out on them as a destructive item. Training rounds and the like are plentiful.

that implies that consensus opinion is omnipotent.

don't you love those German of the mid 20th century who were wonderful gauges for consensus opinion being an absolute right?
fighting words and yelling fire in a crowded theater are not protected not because of consensus opinion, but because they cause harm.

big difference there. sorry that's so far above your comprehension level.

Well if it is limited in some way then it must be written down somewhere for you to say it is limited.

GAWD damn some of you people just do not understand how DUMB you can be.

WHere does it say you DON'T have the right to own a grenade launcher? Go ahead dumb ass find that bit of info and present it so you don't look like the complete blithering make shit up fool that is painfully obvious for us all to see.

You said that we don't have the right to own a grenade launcher, where is that written down at?
the heller decision, for one.

what i consider harm is restricting citizens rights to leave them defenseless against government, as no government has ever proven to ultimately put its citizens interests above its own.

you're already defenseless against the guys with tanks, fighter jets, drones, nukes, chemical warfare, and more. your little bushmaster isn't gonna make a lick of difference. feel free to join us in reality any time.

and your ability to defend yourself is not being taken away from you at all. you can still bear arms, a lot of them, of many, many different types.

if you ever care to have this discussion in reality rather than the imaginary land where you take down the united states army with your AR15, i'll be here. in reality. waiting for your dumb ass.

i don't agree. our government would have a hell of a war fighting multiple guerrilla groups in the Appalachians, rocky mountains, swamps of Louisiana, lands of Alaska, and swamps of Florida. not only that, other countries who hate the U.S. would gladly support us with weapons and supplies.

the United States is a huge place with lots of nooks and crannies. the most powerful countries in the world have never been able to tame or control afghanistan and its mountains, what makes you think that in a land 20x the size, that the government even has a shot. lol

you must live in a city or suburb.

Plus the vast majority of the US military wouldnt fire on its own population.

Would you?

Infact, potentially, would that not be the perfect enviroment for a coup?

I can yell fire and fighting words legally in the comfort of my garage as ruled by the court. It's like you are saying I should be allowed to have what I want as long as I don't use it to cause harm according the SCOTUS. Welcome to the team man, bout time.

Can someone define "fighting words" and then explain how the fuck you could possibly in practical terms ban such a thing?

EVERYONE would be in prison.

9th amendment.
You're a fucking retard. I'm so glad you're too busy on this forum, your six plants and constantly touching your dick to ever get involved in real politics.

See, bro, the 9th was written so douche bags like yourself couldn't take away other things in the constitution by infringing on what's necessary to do a right in the first place.

One example is the commerce clause. To engage in interstate commerce, you must travel if you want to deliver a good. If the "right" to travel was infringed upon, it would go around the whole point of the commerce clause, because of a technicality about travel not being spelled out. So states could use the 10th and the Federal government could use the Supremacy Clause to override the Commerce Clause.

Nowhere does the constitution imply a laundromat is needed to prevent abuse of another part of the Constitution.

Your schlong is calling you, Raul, so run along.

I'm sorry your stupid ass can't figure out things yourself. You liberals need your hand held and would be lost without racist rabbits.
