Depends on the solvent. If we are talking butane, for oleoresin, I evaporate the visable butane away using hot tap water bath, before vacuuming off the rest.I started the thread just to get pro budder runners to come together to give people like me good info so we dont smoke tane
If you didn't catch that...a vacuum chamber is pretty important to a NQA purge, makes you feel better seeing the gasses bubbling out. If you want to further the quality of your BHO look into "winterizing" to remove other things harmful to your lungs.Depends on the solvent. If we are talking butane, for oleoresin, I evaporate the visable butane away using hot tap water bath, before vacuuming off the rest.
For AA, I cold boil off the alcohol, so it goes into the vacuum chamber as is.
ya i use tane and use the same method as u do faded. but my pump only hits 26.7 hg is this bad and if so why. and can you tell me a good pump to get one that is proven to hit full vac cuz mine is not hiting 29
It takes more heat and time to purge at 26.7" Hg, which changes the nature of your extract through decarboxylation and conversion of THC to CBN.and can you re-explain what is and how to deadhead plz
There is no need to pull below 29.8" Hg and if you pull too low, you boil off the THC. Check out this chart, courtesy of Skyhighler on another forum:the pump you linked is only 75 microns i read its supposed to be minimum 50 micron
No need to pull into the micron level, when about -29.5" Hg will purge the solvent. There are 760,000 microns to an atmosphere, and 29.92" Hg, so inch of mercury would be about 25401 microns.so what micron do you recomend
Hands down the CPS 6.2 single stage, cause it is way faster than the 5 cfm 2 stage and pukes out less oil during operation.so then if you dont want to get into the micron thing which of the 2 pumps to you prefer?
I think he means the vaporized oil that comes out of the exhaust cap which happens to pretty much every pumppukes out oil???
correct me if i am wrong fadedawgI think he means the vaporized oil that comes out of the exhaust cap which happens to pretty much every pump
$185 several years ago.how much did you pay for the cps?
