LMAO. its just i would use them everyday for work and after i was done one day i threw them in a small plastic cup that had a little water inside. in a few minutes the water had been absorbed and i was pretty impressed with how much water these ear plugs actually hold. id go through 2-3 pairs a day and would end up taking them home in my pocket. so i thought about maybe saving them and trying something out one day....i am pretty damned stoned rite now too off of some sour diesel....can ya tell :)

Using your discarded earplugs would provide your own, let's say, special type of fertilizer. I've worn those things before, they don't come out clean as a whistle. LOL

Working on the vault today, I'm putting in a bathroom fan venting it outside, anyone used one says 70 cfm as far as flow, it will be uin a 3x3x5 area...

In my 20 cubic ft veg box I use an 80cfm fart fan, and it works adequately. They work best with little to no exhaust duct. If you need to use 10' of flex duct it will cut the flow in half with these low flow fans.
 
Hello WOH. Well i have some Harvest number for you all. Grown for 29 days and the tops flowered for 56 days. I would say i am doing pretty good so far:

Tropez, just a small tip... looking at your lights...with no reflector you might find your lumens higher at plant tops if the spriral CFL's were turned horizontally. I ran into this with some big 350W CFL's...turned them horizontal and added a a bat-wing reflector and BAMMM! The heat rising up through the ballast section might reduce lifespan...but that's just a hunch.

Dang Watt's, I'm stoned and I just pictured a fart fan in my living room with a 10' flex duct line....my wife would really appreciate that....maybe I could put in a remote control.
 
I am using a 1 foot PVC pipe for a vent, it's going out thru a sidewall, if I can ever get the hole finished, I'm through the lath and plaster, found insulation, the blow in type, good thing I took the plants out...Not I have to go thru the sheathing about 1 inch thick then thru the siding...I'm not even sure I need the 1 foot, but that should keep it from going up into the soffit and fascisa, it's in the second floor just below roof line

Hi Who-kie, just make a solo hempy with perlite in the bottom 1.5" and coco up top and drop that rockwool into it...they are a perfect match up....coco's wicking action makes up for rockwool's tendency to over-saturate. There is a period after sprouting when people loose sprouts do to over-watering the rockwool. Go for it and don't think twice.

That sounds perfect you'll get most possible out of that fan, with a short straight piece of pipe.
 
Well the drill has NO BALLS....the shank on the hole saw was too short, I fixed that with a socket extension, no room to use hubby's 20 pound drill...so for now I have the outline done, I'll drill several small holes and then chisel the rest if I have to...the hole maker was 24.00 and can't cut thru the wall??? I'll take it back tomorrow and get another one if I have to...I got a 3 1/2 inch hole saw for the 3 inch pipe, will silicone from the inside as there is not way to get up that far from outside, and I'm not safe on a ladder...so at least I know my limits...had to adapt the fan to hang sideways and drill a few new holes to attach it, as the wall had almost no studs in it, it's a closet.
 
I love this thread but i absolutely hate trying to catch up after a few days lol, so much information in one place its great but so tedious to read every post like i try to lol...

If your plant is not sexually mature it wont show flowers or preflowers until it is, you can tell by asymmetrical node spacing.

Just figured i would give a little update i decided to put my girls in to their place today, i also got some cal mag ordered but unfortunately i hastily chopped my critical + when i discovered i had no room for it, not thinking about the fact that i wanted to test the cal mag on it to see if it improved its issues... Overall the girls are doing pretty well but I'm some what concerned about some of the growth, the burmese kush has very thick strong stems but it seems to grow much more straight up I'm not sure how good of a scrog plant it will make, the veneno has a pretty weak feeling stem but seems to be much better suited as a scrog plant, I'm thinking about topping them again to help fill out the screens faster but I'm not sure if i should, if i do top that will make for a total of 8 tops per plant what do you guys think?

BTW, I was in the Ghetto grow box today and I noticed a weird thing, I have a plant that is almost all 3 leaves...Not sure why? I have some plants with 3 leaves here and there, especially on the buds, and one that looked like a spider when it was vegging, I'm just wondering, it if was nutes wouldn't they all have it? and why just parts of the plant?
 
Is that plant a clone whocares? Often if you take a clone off a very mature or flowering plant you get one to 3 bladed leaves.

Ive never done a scrog myself, I can't really offer advice re topping. Others will have more knowledge.

I notice the chicken wire though, does this not cut into the stems?
