I like the notice signs too! How do you like those irrigation sprayers? I'm going to hook up some drip lines to mine, but wasn't sure if I should use sprayers or drips.

I do like the sprayers. I don't like to get water on the plant so much but its hard to avoid. I'm on a well here and not that good of one at that so I have to use the sprayers cause it spreads out the water evenly and I know I water all the roots. The drip system is probably better but you'll need to keep an eye on them so not to make a puddle and a dry spot next to it. which ever you decide to use will work. I put both sprayers in a 5 gallon bucket and time how much time it takes to fill it. Then I water water accordingly to how hot it is that day. 70-80degs I give 5gallons 80-90degs 10gallons and 90-100 15gallons above a 100degs I give her 10gallons in the morning and 10 in the afternoon. rarely ever get any wilting. if you water too much it'll show up on the lower leaves.

Great idea, testing the sprayers beforehand to see the spray rate. How many gallons is that raised bed? I'm doing all my plants in pots, mostly 20 gal, and one 30. The Jack Herer I will be putting in my raised bed, so that one will need a bit more water than the pots. Is it ok to over fill the pots with water? Since everything will be connected to the same timer, the pots may get more water than needed. Maybe I'll just do sprayers in the bed, and drips to the pots..

That raised bed doesn't have a bottom does it?

No bottom Woot so I have drainage. I have solid granite here so its made it necessary to use the raised boxes. nothing grows in granite or so I'm told. I made the cut with the tractor and it's just like rock under the boxes. No gophers though ! haha. I use compost as my base then add to that. this is why I'm able to water so heavy. Should have mentioned that earlier so no one drowns their plants. I use all organic compost and I'm on my second year of vermicrop organics / vermifire. check it out at vermicrop,com. I haven't feed anything to them yet this year and notice how green they are already. I do plan to use the tea they make as well this year, and probably maxsea too.

I check mine everyday before watering by digging down with my hand up to my wrist to find out how dry the soil is and yes you can damage the plant even create root rot by watering too much in turn killing the plant. I learned that the hard way. on the other hand the plant won't grow if it doesn't get enough water.

not sure on the gallons of soil in the box but it's 4x4x2 so probably about 500 gallons. Also the sprayer are adjustable so you can turn it up or down for your needs therefore I think you need to use the sprayers.
