Hey should I be ph adjusting my water?

Hey ive got two girls(Thin Mint Cookies and Chem 4) in foxfarm ocean forest and im using fox farm grow big and big bloom. was wondering should i be ph adjusting my water? I know the PH is about 7.5 here. Will it dramatically improve quality?

I suggest you buying a pH meter, they're cheap as hell you can buy one on ebay for less than 15usd.

yes always ph your water.....check out this chart on how the plant uses nutrients according to the ph levels.

i have a ph meter i just was wondering if i should give it ph down and bring it down to 6.0 i know for hydro its important but not sure about for outdoor soil.And theoutdoorcrop: i had it at my friends and i topped it for the first time at the same height chem 4(smaller clone) is now. it the exploded with growth and since we didnt have much space for it i topped every node that had two new growths to take its place. now have it at my place and have topped the plant at least 10 times in different places.

No, if your growing in soil you do not need to ph. Ph is for hydro guys.

If you are feeding synthetics you need to PH Soil or not. Organic you don't.

yea im using foxfarm grow big which i know isnt organic so im gonna start ph adjusting. especially also when flowering comes im gonna be using big bud and bud candy so ill have to ph it n e way

I thought that's was there only organic product^^^ don't know. Y not just feed aact teas to ur ladies. Much cheaper and better results imo.

Plus don't think it matters to much w/smart pots that size as smart pots are always being flushed. Could be wrong w everything though!

Foxfarms organic that i use is their big bloom. the grow nd the tiger are non organic forsure

nd the reason why i dont do organic is because the yield is increased when using non organics.

Ive read and read about ph when growing in soil. I've been growing for 20 years outside and in my opinion ph your water when growing outside is useless due to a couple of reasons. Most of your watering is from the rain wich nature allready said its the best water. The soil also acts like a buffer.I live in a big farming state for everything. These last to statements come from several succesfull farmers whose livelyhood for generations come from growing veg in soil. I just started growing inside and about 5 weeks from harvesting. This is why I researched ph water when growing in soil inside because you read about it everywhere. I've noticed amongst soil growers inside it's 50-50 on ph. Me personally don't ph and won't till it's a issue. I beleive in the soil being a buffer and the ph is a hydro hype that soil growers think they need to due. THE SOIL PH IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE WATER.

It goes like this. If pure organic you are feeding the soil not the plant. The microbe colony in the soil is what you are feeding that breaks down the nutrients to give to the plant. PHing with acids will kill the microbe colony. In synthetics nutrients are only or better taken up directly by the plant at certain Ph levels is why you PH sythetics in soil.

I water mine straight out the hose and they are growing only problem i got is bugs eating my leaves not sure what

i have phed and not phed....
phing is a lot more work...and from what i saw it makes no difference...(outside)
i do add extra dolomite to the soil mix..
my water comes out of the hose at 7.0 with with around 250 ppm

I've read a lot of mixed opinions on this subject, and majority say ph for synthetics, no ph for organics. As long as your ph isn't too out of wack, like 5.0 or lower, you'll be alright. Since you are going synthetic (FF Grow big is not organic), you should probably ph or throw some dolomite lime in there, and it will help balance everything out.

People really over complicate this shit. I never even heard of ph until I joined this forum. If your using a soil mix out of a bag it has dolomite lime in it. I always add a little bit to mine. Dolomite is a ph buffer. That means it balances the ph for you. I water my plants with my water hose. Never had a ph problem.
