people that overreact annoy me. posted this pic on a social media site, in regards to being educated about where the products you buy are made and under what circumstances, etc. and my family member who lives in Ireland (a former Californian) came back with an overly large response, but then threw in Marijuana to use that against me also (the subject of the picture being completely unrelated to Marijuana, i took this as an uneducated jab becaause she had nothing better to go on). I know products are made in horrible circumstances all over the world, this is just one example. Anyway, it would help me be less annoyed to get some opinions. So, was I wrong, or was she?
I said "how much do you know about the products you buy from Israel?" and posted this:
her response: wtf GreenSummit?! I suggest you take a trip to israel so you can see what is REALLY going on. This little posting you just put up really pissed my ass off!!! Why don't you go on over to gaza with my husband the next time he goes. Do you know he was nearly hit by one of their fecking missles last year in Ashkelon? You need to educate yourself and lay off the fecking pot for a while.

im not supporting either side with this post, just think people should be a little more informed before they purchase products made over there, like sodastream for example. bad things from bad people in bad places. chill out. and marijuana has nothing to do with this, it's just in bad taste to throw in an insult like that.

You should really think about cleaning up the s&*$ in your own country before you begin bad mouthing the politics of any other country. Especially a country you have NEVER set foot in. i'm not reading all that jazz but i skimmed a bit and saw the picture. if you make a political statement expect shit to hit the fan. politics are intertwined with people's sense of self and how they view the world. if you insult someone's political beliefs, it's like you insulted them personally, and they might insult you back. telling you to lay off the pot is just a cutesy way of calling you an idiot. sure it was childish, but the isreal/palestine thing is a pretty obvious button to be pushing. it's going to start an argument with or without name calling.
