Hello everyone,

I have been looking forward to trying out some of the Doc's gear for a while and finally I have my shot. With a fairly short season here outdoors I wanted to ensure I have an early harvest. I was gifted a pack of the Doc's Iranian Chemdawg and am super excited to test these guys out. I have 5 that were started about 5 days ago and are currently day 3 from seed.

This will be a guerrilla grow outdoors in beautiful eastern Canada for personal smoke. I am going to be vegging until about May before placing outside. I haven't decided yet on nutrients but am leaning towards trying heavy harvest so I can limit my trips to the patch. I have previously used iguana juice bloom and the flora series outdoor but that required too many trips out to water.

As of right now my plans is to start the other seeds in a month or so and plant them a few weeks later outdoors. I'll be using pro mix with added perlite and I may try a few in coco coir as an experiment. I will try to update every two weeks. Also just a note, the other 4 seeds in the pic are a few freebies I had laying around which are two weeks from seed, Reserva privida OG Kush, OG18, SourKush and Kandy Kush. Cheers Dankbudzzz.

The planting instructions....
I always plant mine with root down not up....
Put more soil in so they aren't stretched and lower light so they don't continue to stretch

I appreciate the comments, I purposely did not put soil to the top because they always stretch a little at first, this allows me to top them up when they stretch a little which I did today and from here on in the do fine, it just takes two weeks for the stem to thicken up. I only have two 23 watt cfls on all of the plants which are about 2 inches awy from them, I'm adding two more cfls soon, I don't necessarily want them to grow too big as they have 1.5 months to veg and I don't have a ton of space. I will be lst'ing them as well and topping.

Quick update, About two three weeks old I believe. Still another month before they go outdoors. I'm wondering how early I can put them out, I purchased a cold frame and was planning on putting some water bottles in it to radiate heat as well. The temps here are still creeping down to -5 celcius overnight, sitting around 0-5 celcius during the day, I was really hoping to get them out by april 20th but I don't see them going out before May with the current weather.

Few pics of two plots I will be working with, Will probably put 3 plants in the one hole pictured, it has 50 gallons of soil in it and I mixed in some perlite although it's not pictured. The other spot will be used to transition all of my plants, will throw them in grow bags and leave them for a few weeks before putting them in the ground, I have 4 holes total dug in this area, two will be single plants with roughly 15 gallon holes, one is 50 gallon picture and I will put three plants in it and the other is about 30 gallons and will probably get two plants.

Quick update,

Not sure how long they've been going for but they are grwoing at a fairly slow pace as I only have a few cfls on them and need to keep them small due to space limitations. First five pictures are Iranian Chemdawgs, last three pics are of Sour Kush, OG Kush, OG 18, and KANDY kush.

Hey guys,

quick update, few pics, they will be going outside in a few weeks,I pruned the lower branches today and will be taking a few clones before they go out. These are about 6 weeks old. I have all my spots prepped. One location will have five plants in a bed of 200 litres of soil and perlite with blood and bone meal. 5 will be going into a marsh/bog in 5 gallon grow bags which will be upgraded later in the season. Hoping I dont have to water them at all. The last patch of five will be going in a forest on the edge of a creek for easy water access.

Should have some monsters, plants are all around 2 feet tall with about 7-10 nodes on them Last year I didn't germ seeds until May 20th or so and got 5 ounces on the one that survived. Getting impatient so I am considering going out to the bush and building a cold frame and throwing one out for a few nights to see how it does. Just got another 10 5 gallon root pots in the mail so I will probably take some clones and plant them later in the season in those in them marsh area.

Have another marsh plot prepared with five 5 gallon smart pots, won't be planting in them until mid june and hopefullly will only have to visit once a month or so. Also put three outside today, earliest I 've ever done so and I hope I won't regret it. Temps for the next two weeks are forcasted to be 12-20 celcius in the day and 6-10 celcius at night but tends to dip a few degrees lower. Hopefully they survive, they are two months old and 2.5 feet tall so they should be huge by the end of the season. Hoping to end up with 10 large healthy females, will be planting 20 females.

Quick update, the ladies are getting big, one is 3 feet tall althought the pictures don't really show it. Three of them are outside now, I will get pictures of them soon.

Here is one of my plots, there is 7 grow bags here, mixture of promix, perlite, blood and bone meal. Three plants are out unseasonably early so hopefully they survive, next two weeks calling for temperatures of 15-24 celcius in the day but there is gonna be one night of 3 celcius temps. Surrounded by a swamp on both sides, plot is within thorn bushes, I went out today in shorts stupidly and got cut to shit so hopefully thats a deterent.

Off to a rough start this season, got two nights in a row of a late frost two weeks after projected last frost date for my area. 3 are dead even when covered in a makeshift greenhouse. 2 are extremely damaged but may survive and two made it through fine. It's very disappointing because I started two months earlier then normally and these were going to be monsters...Now I have to rely on the clones I took which just rooted, on top of that, they are calling for frost again tonight even with 6 degree celcius temps...

never put out in maine before memorial day /or last full moon ion may or ya will get stung by frost 9 out of 10 times your area should be the same

I did put out a little too early and am paying the price for it. It was past the last projected frost date and we had three weeks of 60s and 70s so I should of been fine, it was a freak frost that lasted two days. I knew 24 hours in advance and had the opportunity to take them in, but it was a very long hike and different locations. I went out to check and I have one that is doing great and one that is shocked big time and frost bitten but will probably survive. I

In other news....I had to put the rest of mine out after an extremely close call with someone finding them that would cause major problems in my life. Put out 9 clones that only rooted 2-4 days ago... and another 20 seedlings that were only 5 days old. Weather is supposed to be rain and windy for the next two days before getting some sun. They were supposed to be vegged another three weeks before going out. I dont have high hopes for them but we will see what happens

I can already tell that this season is going to be a rough one. I have alot of other aspects in my life that I realized are much more important so Im going to focus on them mainly and just jave fun this season growing whatever survives and letting nature do its thing. Put me in your prayers

I was following this thread because I obtained 33 Iranian chemdawgs from the Doc.I sprouted 32(all sprouted from seed but I let one go because it was a little behind) on april 16th. I put mine in last Saturday(may 18th) They are all doing fabulous.I live on southern edge of adirondack mtns. new york state. I have pics and will be posting sometime when I know its in the bag. I am seeking an early august harvest. 32 Iranian chemdawgs in a 8foot by 8fooot circle with complete southern exposure . Wake me if I'm dreaming

Here are some pics of the plants, One of the big ones is healthy and the other has survived, As for the other five, they are all severly frostbitten, I'll give them a week and if theres no new growth they will get pull. Also, here are a few pics of the seedling and a few clones I had to put outside, seedlings are a little sun burnt but alive, two more days of cloudy rainy days before some great weather. Hopefully atleast half of the seedlings survive.

Update time, Already lost a large portion of the crop as expected. I germed another 30 bag seeds, they are going to be grown outdoors from seed so I don't have high hopes, don't have another optoin right now. I have 2 large plants thriving and one more that still may take a turn and come back from the dead after being hit with frost.

About 12 seedlings survived the past week since I put them out and I have about 7 clones left living but I haven't visited them in a week.

I imagine another few seedlings will die off so I germed another 20 bagseeds. Goal is 2-5 pounds to get me through the year without having to purchase any.

Hey guys,

Haven't posted any pics in a while so I'll try to get some up soon. Didn't put out slug bait this year and I payed for it big time, lost probably 70% of my crop to slugs, went out today and baited for slugs, put down irish spring soap at my plots and wrapped stems in copper wire...

Plot one (swamp): two clones and two seedlings
Plot two (bog): 5 seedlings and two clones, one mother plant that is barely hanging on due to frost
Plot three forest: two chemdawg iranian mothers, two clones and two seedlings

Total: 3 mothers and 6 clones left, 9 seedlings=18 plants, about 60 starting (planted too early and slugs/coyotes)

No pics yet, was out to visit quickly today to take a final toll as I was afraid another patch dessimated. I have One big guy pictured above that's doing really good. I have 4 small ones left that are unsexed and about a foot tall and I have four clones doing well just starting to grow and one other guy thats slowly coming back from the frost. I have 10 seedlings that are about a week old going out in a week or two.
