hay every one my soil seems to take a long time to dry out it take about a week or more to totally dry out dose your dry out fasterlike say say in about 3-4 days
how long dose it take for your soil to dry out ?

You do not want your soil to dry out completely. You want it almost dry. If the soil dries completely, all the micro organisms in the soil will die. To really get it right and take all the guess work out of it a moisture meter would be advisable. I use one and it is much easier than lifting pots and way more accurate.
What size pot and how much water per pot?

He should be watering til' he sees run-off.
Depending on the soil and NO perlite it could be clumping and not releasing water too, which keeps container wet..IMO..I've tried without perlite before and I'd never do that again.I feed 1L a week, my plants are in 12L pots, they stay damp for 7 daysNo perlite though :/

can also very much depend on the type of soil you're using, and the heat generated inside the grow room.
i'm using soil called plant magic + which is the lightest, most earated soil ive ever felt , and in my 400w tent they dry out every 2-3 days, which is a shorter time than any other soil ive used.

I'd like to see a photo of that plant/container. If I had to guess, it is a very poorly grown plant in an oversized container that has very little foliar mass and of course very little root mass....reason why he's getting no wicking action.
No, you should never let your soil dry out completely and when you water, water until you get good runoff out the drainholes.

yeah i have got a moister two prone meter. But i dropped it once and now i don't think it works right. The top soil is dry and the probe says it's moist half the way down the pot. The screen and the front is loose and moves if i push it the right end it say dry but if I push on the left hand it says moist so i guess that's the correct reading. so should i water now or give it another day just to make sure and yes i do wait until i get run off and then i check my P.h. run off

Best to use hands, but tilling is mixing the soil up , bringing wet soil from under the first 1" or 2" and replacing it with the soil from the top and visa versa..
basically mixing the soil up, churning it in between watertight .. It makes sure of an even dry out and prevents many moisture pockets from forming.
