Use a darkened closet to keep them on same 12 hour cycle, then place in windows or outside for remaining 12 hours.

Unless you had lights on at night, in that case a battery powered light source to stay on schedule.

Due to extreme heat in the summer I run them at night. Thanks tho
Then I'd use what is available to maintain the schedule, even candles might keep them awake enough.

Sorry to hear about the outage, best of luck!.

Get one of those 1,000,000 foot candle spotlights that runs off battery's and just turn that on and off every 12 hours seems like it would work well

We got power yesterday so they went 36 hours in darkness both veg and flower. Anyone know what I can expect to happen to the plants

Depending on what stage you were in. Flowering, the worst case scenario is that your plants could lag behind/Hermie. Veg...you should be ok. This is nothing that can be 100% answered correctly for you besides that they are not going to die. Worst case again...hermie.
