They make the most relevant point. You can't stop people from doing drugs.

You take out the kingpins and the lower guys take over. There are always people willing to make money.

The drug war equates to the same thing as the war on terror. A never ending detriment to society.

If they can't keep drugs out of prisons, how can you stop them in a supposed free society.

It's a valid point, but if drugs were so widely available they would be worthless.

* kind of life how Cocaine is $2 a pure gram in Columbia, but up here it goes for 70-100 a gram cut

Its actually a success to the government as the CIA has been pumping Coke into the country since about Escobars day. Now we take out Afghanistan's government suddenly they are the biggest producers of Heroin in the world so you now the government officials and CIA are getting rich from it. and if it wasn't for prohibition they wouldn't be making shit for money off it and there would be plenty legal distributors around the world.

I don't know about you guys, but I can get good coke for $40/gram. Which still still 20x the pure price of $2/gram in Colombia. I really should make a trip to Medallin.

I'd like to make more money from the sale of marijuana. But that is getting more difficult these days. It's getting so tough, I may have to consider getting an education and doing 'real' work. Yikes!

I'm not sure I agree with their contention that the Democrats of the 90's caused much of the bullshit drug laws we see today. In fact, I would recommend people check out, http://www.drugpolicy.org/new-solutions-drug-policy/brief-history-drug-war.

Bush. Yet another thing he is a total failure in. Increasing funding for the drug war, and specifically going after marijuana enforcement. And Obama for continuing this stupid perversion.

Incarceration rates started with Reagan and continued up. It's good money being tough on victimless crime.
