Dehumidifier water anyone?

Hello everyone. Does anyone here use dehumidifier water? I am reading a new book by the Rev and he said to use either rainwater, distilled water/RO water, or dehumidifier water. I have heard this before but never thought about lling radiatirs using it. I want hear some thoughts on it. Thanks guys.

Do NOT use dehumidifier water. Depending on what the cooling are made of and how they were put together you could be introducing various heavy metals like lead, or excess aluminum. The cooling radiators are NOT required to be drinking water safe, and therefore could have any kind of leaching or reactive contaminants in it.

Personally I dump it down the drain. If your in an area with water shortages i would use it to water ornamental plants or my lawn. Couldn't really have enough for your lawn could you?

Again, plant water does not need to meet the same criteria as drinking water.

Please stop bringing up over and over the fact that you shouldn't drink the water.

It's very common practice to re-use gray water for plants. And dehumidifier water is about the cleanest gray water you can get.

Dust and mold spores exist in the air you are breathing this exact second. Stop being paranoid. Don't drink the gray water, supplement it and water your plants with it. If there is enough algae in it to damage your plants, you will see it with the naked eye. If you don't trust it, test it on one plant, or have the water tested (or test it yourself). In fact, properly supplemented it would probably outperform your tap water, which can contain far more contaminants that are toxic to plants.

Plants are not humans, stop comparing the 2.

Bigby & jondamon are the only 2 reputable posters here, go with what they say. Ignore the posters with low post count & grow journals full of sick looking plants.

Dehumidifier water has heavy metals in it. Not good for plants. I wouldn't use it for your growing MMJ..

I just performed a heavy metals test, ph test and ec test on me dehumidifier water. Here are the results that I obtained:
0% Lead
0% Copper
4 other metals tested @ 0% as well
Ph= 6.9
ec=000

Water is 100% clear

I'm surprised that after so many repetitions, you still don't understand the difference between drinking water and watering plants.

You must get very confused when you get thirsty.

Supplement & water away. There's more than enough people that have posted here that have actually TESTED and/or USED their dehum water proving the results.

And yet the people with absolutely no experience or knowledge on the topic continue to post.

speaking only for myself. I have never claimed to be an expert on dehumidifier water. I am also sure that you are no more of and expert on dehumidifiers. The only thing I have claimed to know as a fact is that it states on the dehumidifier instructions is that "waste water may contain bacteria and should be discarded. There is no need for your insults, and bashing the grows of other people. Even if you are an expert grower, never run into problems with your grows, which I highly doubt. Your attitude sucks.

I don't think after mixing it with tap water, which I do because there isn't enough humidifier water in my case to use it as the sole watering source, a problem is non-existent. I just think of it as recycling, and a pot plant isn't going to flip out due to it's use, in my opinion.
