First outdoor grow

I've tried and failed with two other grows before this. My first grow last summer was with a couple autoflowers, all was going good until some animal decided to continuously dig them up. Everytime Id replant them id go back and it would be out of the ground again. The second time was indoor with CFLS, I ended up with one male and one female, but the female plant was suffering from all sorts of PH issues and stunted growth so I decided to call it off.

This time around I'm growing outdoors on my back porch (I live about a mile deep in the woods with no neighbors). The plant gets about 9 hours of direct sunlight a day. I'm using FFOF as the grow medium. I live in New York, and so far this summer the climate has been very hot/humid with rain about every 3-4 days or so. The plants about 5 inches tall, and I'm 2 weeks in.

Very healthy looking bro, nice big fat leaves. Looks like it's time to transplant tho they r outgrowing the cups...have fun with your grow....

I'm starting to have these weird spots that look sort of like rust on my leafs. Anyone have experience with this and know how to fix it? I couldn't get the camera to focus in on the right spot so it's kind of blurry.

I would transplant to a bigger pot, maybe newer soil and fresh water will fix your rust problem. Looks healthy in first pic but the cup is too small for it.

Just a tip, from experience......the bigger the pot, the bigger the pot. So repot that bitch in at least a 5 gallon bucket. Or better yet, get a small trash can, 15 or 20 gallons.......you'll have a small tree by harvest time.

if ur thinkin about toppin now the time to do it....follow Uncle Ben's Topping Method and u will have a nice big bush :-P...if u dont no what that is read the forum Uncle Ben's Toppin Method and jus read and follow directions...very solid advice and u will def be very happy u listened....and like other dude said ya ur a mile deep in the woods transplant that bitch in the ground next to ur deck (if u dont want damn deer messin with it again and can keep a close watch on it) and ya u will also have a nice size tree by harvest.....remember if u do the bigger the hole the bigger the plant :bigjoint:]

One plant don't put it in ground....too many issues for one plant...bugs, animals & what not...much easier to regulate on the deck/porch....but I would go with the trash can idea...let it get as big as it would if it were planted in ground....if it were more plants I'd agree with the above...but not for a single plant...

If i'm going to take the risk....might as well make it worth it. Think a 10 gallon container would do the trick for a decent yield?

5 gallons is a good amount to grow a decent sized plant but small enough where you could still easily move the plant.

Great job with those, looking good. Think ill go with 5 gallon. I don't have any neighbors or people to worry about but we do get a ton of helicopter traffic come July/August. That's my only real concern. We live on the lake shore and there are a ton a four wheeler trails and stuff all along our property and the police spotted 2 different grow sites that somebody had going last year. The only way I could get away with a huge plant is if I were to do it in the woods where I could disguise it from the helicopters....but then I would have to worry about the other growers possibly stealing my plant/finding my spot. So I figured my best bet was to just do it on the back porch where it's not visible to anybody, and have it at a size small enough to not be detectable from the air. I figure once it gets bigger Ill throw some other legal plants around it so that the people running the choppers wont pay as much attention to it (not that they'd necessarily bother to arrest me for 1 plant but who knows these days).

keepin it in a pot sounds like a good idea with ur circumstances then but still u gotta decide weather or not u wanna top or what not...dont rreally wanna wait to long for ur first cut IMO

First day of week 3. The plants a little less than a foot and a half tall. The leaves are continuing to grow in size....they looked very indica at first but they're growing longer instead of fatter. Came from a bag of bubba kush so I assumed it would be more indica, maybe whatever male pollinated it was sativa. I'm also starting to get 7 bladed leaves instead of 5.

Quick question..notice the the denting on the leaves? Is this normal or a sign that somethings wrong? My first thought was overwatering but I only do every 4 days when the first few inches dry up.

Outgrowing the pot I have it in, starting to get the same spots I had the last time the plant was root bound. Waiting for more Ocean Forest to come in the mail and then transplanting. Hopefully I leaving it in the pot for another 4 days doesn't cause too much damage.

You Should of topped it like the others said, its alil late now i wouldnt do it, but just keep it in mind for next time. they told you topping but i dont think you got the idea of it, if you wanted a more bushier plant or something like that, you would remove the head and then have 2 main colas instead of just 1. they wouldnt get as big as if it had its 1 but it wouldnt grow as tall. keep it in mind for next time and look it up ! I top most if not all of mine.
