I'm just a little over 3 weeks into Veg and these 2 little ladies are already making my house smell. And they are small plants. I'm not overly concerned about the smell, I was just curious if that was normal.

It's been 4 weeks since I put the seeds in the dirt. A little more than 3 weeks since they sprouted. I decided to go ahead and flip em tonight. So, I won't turn the lights back on until 12 hours has passed. Hopefully in a week or two these ladies will lift their skirts and prove they are gals. Here's a couple of pics. Let me know what ya'll think. Thanks! 7.14.12am.Plant1.jpg7.14.12amPlant2.jpg

Thanks guys! I can't keep from going and looking at the lil ladies(hopefully ladies) every once in a while.
,

Boy do i know that feel mate, I'm on my first soil grow as well and every 3-4 hours or so me or my old lady have to take a peek and giggle with anticipation at the coming crop. I'd imagine its like raising youngns, only less screaming and broken fixtures lol.

Not much of an update, it's only been a few days since flip. I figured I'd toss a couple new pics up. These plants have been growing in the exact same condition, but one is stretchy and one is real short and bushy. Probably different strains, it's bagseed, but that's just my guess. Also, I started a couple auto seeds this weekend, some NL and Pineapple express, but nothing to show on those yet. Here's the ladies. 7.16.12amPlant1.jpg7.16.12amPlant2a.jpg7.16.12amPlant2b.jpg

Some advice please.... I haven't fed these ladies a single drop of nutes since I had used the MG potting mix. Everywhere I read said that if you feed them during veg while using this soil, you'll burn em like they were damned. So, I did not. But, from what I've read, I need to start feeding nutes during flower. I flipped em to 12/12 at about 4 weeks old, they been on 12/12 for a few days now. I guess what I'm wondering, is do I wait a few days into 12/12 to start feeding them, or do I start now? Thanks!

well they will tell you if they are hungry.
read your plants.
watch out for the stretch while feeding.
your ladies look good on the picture .
my girls werent hungry and i started them out light and moved up.
read the nute label. my floranova bloom is like 2 teaspoons per gallon of water on a plant in flower.
i started them out with alil under 1 teaspoon per gallon.and moved up.
remember less is always better then more.if you have any questions shootem at me:peace:

Thanks Kook! I do have another noob question. If I screw up and leave in like 14-15 hours of dark, is that going to hurt anything. I know that repeatedly doing so would stunt growth, as they need some light for energy, but doing it like once or twice(not on purpose) isn't going to hurt is it. I don't think it will, just wanted to make sure.

Thanks Sunni! I've noticed that in just the few days that I've had them on 12/12, my short one has gotten about 50% taller. And, she now has two tops. I guess my topping I did a couple weeks ago worked! Now, I just hope they lift their skirts soon and show me they really are ladies.

Awesome, throw some photos up when you get a chance of the tops. It is better to extend the dark time than the light time, but you will want to try to stay as consistent as possible.

And, a couple more pics! My short lady has really started to push upwards in the past few days since I flipped to 12/12. These aren't the best pics to show it. I'll try to get a side shot later and compare it to one from last week. 7.19.4pmPlant1.jpg7.19.4pmPlant2.jpg

Just saw you post. I'll try to get a better pic of the tops tonight when I get back in. You can kinda seem em in the pic I just posted. I hope I'm right in saying that's two tops. I've grown a lot of outdoor, food stuff before, like corn, okra, maters, etc. But this is my first time ever trying to grow something indoors and actually trying to care for it and make adjustments to it. So I've just been reading up here like hell and taking advice from all the great folks on here and then trying to apply it as best I can with the limited space and funds I have to work with.

ya mine was 2 dollars at a dollar store, it was two prong though so i had to get a 2 prong extension cord but that only gave me three plugs so i went out and bought a 10$ outdoor timer for a 3 prong extension bar and took my old extension hub which has 11 plug spots and used that. so in total i have 12 spots to plug into now!
11 on the hub and one outlet still in the wall for something i want on 24/7 like my fan. it works out great!

Here's my short lady, that I think I topped right. Does this look like it's supposed to, it's about 10 days after I topped her. 7.20.12amPlant2Tops.jpg
