Ok, you are missing a key economic fact about insurance companies.

To make money they must pay all their bills and take in a small percentage more to be profitable.

Now, if you FORCE private insurance companies to take people with pre-existing conditions, FORCE them to remove all top end dollar limits on policies, FORCE them to keep adults up to 26 on their parents policies you are increasing the cost of the insurance. Given these conditions and the relatively thin margins of these companies you are not going to see savings on policies at all. You are going to see significant increases in the companies that simply do not drop offering insurance at all.

Obamacare eliminates private competition by FORCING companies to add so much to policies they cannot possibly compete with the federal government. It FORCES one policy government care because there will be no more competition.

And how Obamacare pays for all the benefits it supposedly provides is by FORCING people to join or pay a fine which rapidly increases over the years.

Everything about this plan is FORCE... FORCE which eliminates choice, eliminates competition and will end up providing less care at higher cost.
If an insurance company is not putting 80% of your paid premiums towards your medical care, you will be refunded the difference..so the ACA is allowing 20% margin on you..do you feel like chipping into the insurance companies kitty more than that?

You've got it backwards sorry to say..we will have nothing but choice and insurance companies will have to COMPETE for YOUR business..think of it as the dollar menu at McD's, Wendy's, BK..very competetive:wink:

ALL insurance companies are being FORCED to accept people with pre-existing conditions - That costs more
ALL insurance companies are being FORCED to spend 80% of your premiums on care - That costs more
ALL insurance companies are being FORCED to remove limits of care for insurance - That costs more
ALL insurance companies are being FORCED to provide coverage for adults up to 26 on their parents plan - That costs more

Yes, companies will have to compete but they all will be charging more, not less for the insurance. They have to pay for all the add-ons that Obamacare mandates.

And someone else is paying for YOUR additional care, it is not free.

So rates are going to skyrocket regardless of what the Obamanator keeps telling you.

If this plan was so great and did everything they said including increasing employment, decreasing premiums etc, why has Obama delayed major portions of it? Why has Obama excluded congress and their thousands of staff members from paying for it? Why are the unions making a huge stink about it?

The issue is that Obama lied to all our faces about what was in the plan and it does not do 90% of what was promised.

But hey, your premiums are going down so I can see why you just dont care about what happens to everyone else. It is about as selfish a mindset as you can have but that is the way Americans are going these days.

How many new people are being added to the pool and paying into the system?
Forcing a company to provide a service that you pay for really is not a bad thing.

What you are showing is that you care more for insurance companies profits then the health of fellow Americans.
Why does it bother you that they have to spend the money you pay them for your care?
Why should you be denied medical treatment in the first place?

I believe it was Londonfogged, Cheesyanthony and buckybeaver that all hooted and hollered that you should only vote in your own best interests. The collective mindset, with selfishness at its core. They don't give a shit about anyone but themselves, its just an act.

Everyone here is going to die, many of you will spend your entire fortune to be afforded a new procedure which will enable you to live out a few more years of barely living life. $250,000 so that you get a few more months in front of the TV.

So many people are scared of the inevitable, they will do just about anything to not face that, including bankrupting themselves and their families. The medical profession and insurance companies prey on this fear.

We have some seriously misinformed people.

First of all 96% of private business has less than 50 people and are not required to offer insurance under the ACA. So if you don't have company insurance now chances are you won't have it when ACA kicks in and you're on your own to find and obtain insurance.

Minimum wage companies like Walmart, McDonalds, Burger King, Carles Jr, etc. will cycle as many part timers as possible which is common practice anyway. They will all revert to the tax payers tit. Also nothing new here.

A bronze plan has a 5k deductible with a 65 copay
Silver a 2k deductible with 45 copay
As you can see both policies fucking suck balls and both limited if you want gold+ you pay for it out of pocket regardless of your financial tier. Most people who currently have insurance are getting much better than this, this is why you're already hearing unions, gov workers, large company employees, already screaming bloody murder because they see the writing on the wall, eventually they're going to lose their good insurance for shitty ass minimum aca requirements of silver or pay out the fucking nose to keep their old (because most are above 400% poverty level)

If you make more than 400% your policy skyrockets, no subsidies or cap offered by the government. Let's talk about this 400% that democrats like to throw around so much, why is it 400%? 400% sounds like a lot doesn't it? Well it isn't, it's just a way to avoid saying the numbers. If you're single its 45k, if you make that much money you're going to get an ass fucking on insurance, married with no kids=62k. The caps off at this point and you will be paying 10+% of your income on insurance talk about fucking steep (max subsidy cap is 9.5 of your income.) Also this is all under the assumption that you don't smoke.

This whole bill is a crock of shit, they just dumped the retarded flunkies and old and decreped on the middle class and masked it in a 5k page bill while selling it as a miracle. Why the fuck do you think Obama doesn't want this shit to take effect before midterms? The middle class will feel this the most specifically the ones that don't breed an army of children.

This is my grandma 2 months ago..she is 96, drives her own car (very well, I might add) and paints the most beautiful landscapes and flower scenery..I'm gonna say she's far from being propped up in front of a TV for a few more months if something happened to her..I'm gonna say her quality of life is outstanding..her mom (my great-grandma) lived to be 105! She is using my ipad..
Man not being an ass but I wouldn't be posting granny pics on a cannabis forum, that might come back around to you or her. These forums work best with discretion.

You didnt address the issue of why premiums are going to skyrocket.

If a company spends 75% on your insurance and has to kick back money to you, you had better believe your rates will rise until 80% is covered by your now enlarged premium. Healthcare companies are announcing they are not issuing policies for individuals under Obamacare due to cost and complexity of the regulation. You cant buy what they dont offer.

What I am showing is you cannot add on a huge amount of cost and expect it not to be passed on to the consumer. And in this case it is a consumer that does not have a choice in the matter, the purchase of the product is demanded by the government or an ever increasing fine will have to be paid.

Again, what moral grounds do you have to say if you are sick then other people should be required to pay for your care?

Because the insurance companies are simply going to pass the costs off on us, all of us. Why dont you care that premiums are going to skyrocket?

Again, why should strangers be compelled to pay for your medical care when you are sick? What right do you have to burden someone elses kids and grandkids for your lifestyle and health choices?

in what way?
Well besides the obvious that most people don't want their pictures posted on cannabis forums without their permission, we also have some lowlifes in the political section that have openly admitted to stocking people and have tried to get them in trouble. Well actually only one but the point remains.

Maybe, but then again. They are organized and can negotiate for whatever plan they want

Ever heard of being responsible? If you can afford insurance you should buy it instead of being a leech

Chesus that is one of the dumbest rebuttals I have ever seen from you and that's saying something.

The first three things in red are only backing up how shitty this plan is, thanks I guess. Secondly you seem pretty happy people are going to lose their better insurance to finance a shitty one or pay way fucking more than they're paying now to keep it. The companies are already scaling back to avoid the "Cadillac tax" because they get penalized for offering good insurance.

And the last bahahaha most of the people making over 400% are the responsible ones dumb shit they're not the one causing the problem people like you are. Can you read? Are you too stupid to see the responsible ones are the one footing the fucking bill with skyrocketing premiums and forced into subpar insurance? The middle class workers you praise so much are taking a double fucking on this

It's a crock of shit because that is exactly how it works anyone with a little intellect can see this isn't some awesome thing, it's a piece of shit. It takes about 5 minutes of reading the stipulations of the Cadillac tax and the how the middle class is going to get ass raped on premiums.
