Is this LST okay?

Leave it like that for 5-7 days, you will notice branches starting on that side of the plant.
Untie the rope let it rest for a couple days, then tie it down the opposite way for 5-7 days.

you will have larger branches forming than usual.now you untie the plant let it get straight up right.
then start tieing those individual branches down.

you will do better than letting the plant grow naturally by doing what I have said.
there are other ways to do lst.i just find this is the easiest for beginners like you and me

Once you bend the main stalk, just leave it pinned down and let the internodes grow toward the light...I don't really see the need to bend it the other direction at some later date...and next go round start the bend earlier and you'll see better results...I use a cut up wire hanger fashioned into 6-8 inch Bo peep hooks...no tying down and easy to rearrange...IMO...g/l

If he's doing one plant he's got lots of room to work,But if he's doing a lot of plants,I agree he should do it your way.
like I said multiple ways to do LST.

thnks for the advice man, but dont you think if i actualy did let the other side grow as well.. when i let it sit up straight it will have MANY tops.. which rocks. Just curious on why you choose not to???

There are many ways to do many things...I'm a subscriber to the K.I.S.S. method...I tried many times to "over think" what I wanted to do next...most times realizing afterwards what a waste of time it was...Keep It Simple Stupid is a great game plan for freshman, sophomores and growers with advanced study degrees...g/l

Don't do this. Bend the main stalk one way only then leave it. The idea is LOW stress. Forcing it the opposite direction when it's been stable for a week is pointless stress. Theres 2 main points about LST: 1) Bending the tips down to redistribute the growth hormone to the lower nodes. This is what causes additional branches to sprout. 2) Increasing the effective surface area of the plant by making it grow shorter and wider. This allows light to hit those newly sprouting branches and increases their growth rates.

I'm just going to say, more tops doesnt mean bigger yield. It just means smaller buds. Bend it over to one side, and after that, let it do its thing. There is no way the results will dissapoint you.

looks good, you can leave it tied and let her grow back up, or you can move it around, I would keep it tied, and then retie the top again and again as it grows

i poke holes around the rim of the pot and tie them down sideways and as it grows continue to tie the main stalk down around the edge of the pot then use the main stalk as a anchor point to tie the branches apart

heres an example of how lst works. i tied her down to one side when she was small and just kept tying/pinning down branches with bent wire.

see how her main stem lays down? this is an older pic.

see the wires i used to pin down branches? (this one was my male i had to kill) once they are pinned down i keep them pinned/tied down and just keep doing it as they grow.

hope this helps :)

Welcome to rollitup. a thousand people,a thousand ways to grow......
A thousand ways to fuck up some newbies grow you mean.... OP: did you see my pics? this plant has been LST'd hard, every new stalk has been bent back down, ONE DIRECTION ONLY. Once it's bent down you just leave it and new stalks will sprout. The poster above also has the right idea with LST ^.
