Other Side of the Fence...Where the Grass is Always Greener

Interesting, I must have gotten lucky here. Can I just toss it in the water with my tea?
I would only use it in my soil mixes before cooking. I would use epsom salt for a Mg def and CaMg+ for a calcium def. The Rev uses CaMg+ in his teas. Just one way to look at things.

Beautiful plants guys!

Sorry I haven't been in the thread lately, I have been really concentrating all of my time and efforts into my grow.

I personally have caused problems in the past with using the dolomite as a top dressing or by working it into the top 3-4 inches of my soil after the plants were already in the soil. I burnt some plants pretty bad using a very light dose this way. I have been told that the dolomite needs the cooking time to "mello" out. It is pretty hot stuff.

I use Maerl (Oceanic Lime full of trace elements as well) the one I use is made by Plagron

plagron-maerl.jpg

much the same as Dolomite Lime, and also have to be careful adding it, I like you have tried to add to much witch did fuck with my PH and gave my plant problems, and it don't matter if it is/was as a top dressing of pree mixed in the soil in advance, same result if you over do it, Im more carful when I add it to day, used less in my pree mix and only use it as top dressing if I see a PH related problem and only once, have seen great results adding a te spoon to a 5g pot, but when I wanted to continue the success with another one a week later it turned out to be to much and I got other PH issues

so I only do one te spoon and only if I have a problem and I also only use a te spoon or so per 5 gallon of pree mix and only Bc. the soil I use in my mix is a bit low to start with (5,8 - 6,4)

I only use Lime to get my PH on track, I use Tap water that keep plenty of Ca and I use Epsom salt for Mg (Epsom salt, also called English salt = pure magnesium sulfate)

I think for this next go around with the Strawberry dream I will keep with the light top dressing since it reacted will to it. I added 1tbsp to the top when I switched to flowering and about 3 weeks later. Epsom salt is easy to get, I use tap water as well and have a pretty high TDS so I would assume there is some CA in there.

I do know I need to get ahead of the N this go around to avoid getting so much yellow in flower.

M1d, those are looking nice and hefty, bet you could knock someone out with the size of those top buds..

yep keep it light, less is more, its easy to add stuff, hard to remove em agin if you over do it, and a plant that just short of optimal conditions can easily reach full potential or close wile a plant with too much of anything easily can die on you or yield 50% less with a lot of headaches along the way

and yea if you use Tap water that keep a lot of Lime (white stains on your bathroom floor/water boiler/glass etc) then don't worry about Ca

the Mg on the other hand is highly needed by MJ IME, I get my 1kg bag`s at my local wellness shop and add like 1/2 te spoon to every gallon of water

beside the Mg it also contain sulfate that also is a important secondary element that MJ need to thrive

Another tip I learned from Slip and Myco is to transplant to final container a week before flower. This gives the plant fresh amendments (in my case the only food it gets) before the long flower period. Just thought I'd throw that in there if you are not already doing this. Leave room on the top of the containers for top dressing later on if needed. (about two inches from container rim will work)

Sweet looking plant Amber...

Same here, the minimum time for cooking with added dolomite lime is 4 weeks I was told, quite a few times. Epsom salts work wonderfully as a little sprinkle over the top, just started doing that instead of mixing in with my water....

Thanks hb. Thought that might work. The strawberry dream looks just right for flowering. Good luck with her and keep us posted.

I will be a week behind you if everything goes smoothly for me.

Hey P. What's up bro :??: I just wanted to say hello, and also tell you I just posted a few of my (outdoor) ladies I harvested.
Purple OG#18 & OG Kush. I have a few more (outdoors) I plan on letting go till 1 week of Oct.
Will also have more then a handfull to harvest (indoor). I also just started 8 other strains. Started a guessing game as to what the strains may be that I started. I will be dropping hints everyday or so as to what they may be. ;)
Figured its a good way for other growers to learn alittle bit about each strains history. May also help them out if infact there growing the same.
Well bro I hope to see you over at the thread. ;) just posted pictures.

Your bud, Dank.
