clayton i didn't read the thread back but here's my take:

1. if she wants a tatt now..suggest something small and out of the way..inside of wrist, inside of ankle..they usually like sibling names or pet names at this stage..something in script with flowers..small is key, she is 14.

2. if she waits until she's 18, she will come home with an album cover on her arm..her WHOLE arm

3. at 24, she will cry because she can't find a wedding dress to cover it and is limited to what she can wear on her "big day"

if all else fails, they have wonderful procedures now to remove completely without scars..

PS. at 21, she had the ear surgery to sew back her earlobes from stretching them with plugs..she NEVER listens..thank GOD she took the nose ring out finally!..i hated that most of all, she would constantly be twitching her nose from it moving out of place..sheeeeeeeesh that was a lovely look!

Why do you seem to think everyone who has tatt grows to regret them when they get older??

Thanks for some actual advice, I do appreciate it, but like I said earlier, I'm not buying her alcohol anymore and trying to help her make better decisions. If I wasn;t helping, she may end up getting one of those crazy phoenixes, or worse, and who knows what the artist would do if she went in alone and drunk like usual.

I wish i had a cool uncle to buy me beer when I was a teenager.

alright, to be fair I have tattoos also. I don't think everybody regrets them (20 years later I don't) but I was portraying worst-case scenarios. it is going to be awfully hard to get most folks to think it's a good idea

She wants me to supply her so she can sell at school. We could make a lot of money because the other kids have nowhere else to get it and buy $10 grams. If, on the outside chance she gets caught, she's a minor, so the charges would be next to nothing and so would the penalties.
