"Back in the old days" with original C99 mine went 7-8 weeks. This is temperature driven as it will take longer under cool conditions versus warm, an important factor that no one ever mentions.

It's only pungent if you brush it then it's more of an acidic vomit/baby poo smell.

The lowest smelling strain I've ever tried.

Anyone know the best chop day for female seeds C-99 please? I'm shooting for day 50 chop but I fear that may be too late and might produce couchlock which is not my intention.

i let mine go for 55 days from show of flower so basically it took 62 days from time change and 55 days from show.. smell is of fruit or maybe like a slight start to rotting fruit , has a stroong sweet smell and a slight weed smell.. smooth smoke,EASY to grow,slight resistant to mites and pest and i have yet to see it hermie on me.. and i have stressed the hell out of a couple just to try and hermie them.. even screwed with the light schedule and nothing but flowers.. so if your new to growing or a total screw up in the garden then this is a great starter or a staple in any grow room even if its just for the smell..

A couple of those pics the buds look way tooo green to be c99...when I helped my friend grow his, she was like almost white and full of crystals.

Bass trees look nice and light green for c99

I see that the odor of c99 is low when growing...Does this mean I can grow without a filter ? I plan on growing in a box in my cellar....Would the smell go upstairs ? Would someone smell it if they went into the basement ?

I wouldn't recommend growing ANY bud without a filter, even if I was growing a single plant under a CFL lol. It all stinks in flower, and it won't go unnoticed to everyone.

I've definitely grown some strains that wouldn't omit a scent unless you brushed against them. NL#5 was very low odor, even at the end of flower. I think having a lower than ideal humidity limits odor too, which is something else to consider.

Was strongly considering giving FMS C99 a chance, but I'm getting scared off by mixed reviews. Thinking their might be better C99s out there.

I'd definitely recommend the FMS C99 for sure! Very psychedelic high, at least the pheno i had. Unfortunately i had to kill it. But i have 4 new beans going now!

My main concerns are yields being average and limited bag appeal. Still considering it, but looking for a replacement. I'll admit, its tough to counter a 55 day pure sativa high. I should probably get it for that reason alone. Will definitely do a 4 pack, if I do, so I can pick a pheno.

Outdoor c99 has some ruderalis genetics in the mix.

I wouldn't be concerned about yields. My pheno was very lanky and didn't have big buds. But it was definitely a good producer!
Regarding bag appeal, i really would'nt worry about it for a second with this strain. Very nice lime green buds with super orange hairs and looks super crystally!

C99 is also the only strain i've grown that i can really vouch for if you're looking for a low odor strain. To me it didn't smell like cannabis at all. Just pineapple and a bit of rotten fruit to it.
