But if you induce hermie it may produce seeds correct? I would love to get a hold of one...Ah I see "Triploid plants bear flowers, but these flowers cannot be fertilized, because the odd numbers of chromosomes are unable to pair up properly. The plant can still be pollinated and will still bear fruit, but because no fertilization occurred, the fruit will not have seeds" So it's not a trait, but a genetic defect.
Yes sir...sure do!! I hope your right...but I'm 90% certain. Not a very good focus on that pic. They say these triploids are usually males. The other two plants are quite certainly female though so I won't cry...my space would be overcrowded with 3 anyway...Still to early for me to tell for sure. You still have plenty of time to keep an eye on the plant though. You know what to look for, right ??
I COULD be mistaken...and if I am GREAT!! But this plant has more balls than a football teams locker room!!I am with Foothills... Still to early!
Looking great though!! I love it when the tops start to change!!!! Bummer about the good deal on the light. Ya, you don't need something that was tossed together. Which one are you looking at now??
beautiful sunrise! Yours looks all warm and fuzzy and mine looks all cold and frosty
Its looking like it's a male...but I'm going to give it some more time to see. Would the quote you mentioned suggest that a male cannot pollinate? But if you induce hermie it may produce seeds correct? I would love to get a hold of one...

Now I have to make a space to do THIS project (sigh)I am thinking it may mean triploids can only pollinate triploids. I am not certain, though I would totally try.

Sweet! I am happy with my Apollo brand ballast so far. I will see how the Thunder brand is in a few days. So far the two ploids I have flowering are female... The picture is hard to see. It would be a real bummer to pull that one out of there. A few more days should give you a better Idea of what it is. What are your plans if it is male? I know you don't have a bunch of room to separate them and collect the pollen.I COULD be mistaken...and if I am GREAT!! But this plant has more balls than a football teams locker room!!
I already ordered my new light. Jumped on Amazon as soon as I saw the pics of that rigged up light setup!! Hahaha!! I wanna grow weed not burn my house down!! I got a dimmable 400 watt with digital ballast, cool tube and reflector. It's the Apollo which I guess is a cheap brand but 1) it has a 1 year warranty 2) I want to grow a couple plants at a time so I'm confident it will earn it's keep!
Im not in a hurry to pull it. I think I'll set up another closet if it is a male...I just NEED to see it finish SOMETHING!! It's way too cool to chop and toss I think...I also have the three clones I took from it and I THINK they are rooting!!Sweet! I am happy with my Apollo brand ballast so far. Fire is always a concern... Speaking of fire.... Is your electrical supply safe? You don't have a pile of extension cords and power strips laying on the carpet right? I ask because you are starting to up your game and are going to start using more power as time goes on.
Oh... and hurry up with the cabinet already.... I am sure we all want to see what you do with it
Best idea I've heard all night !! CHEERS !!And after looking at my plants again...the one on the right DOES have pistils!! Hahaha!! Time to uncork a bottle and spark something up...
I took the cuttings a few days before I flipped my lights...that would be about 10 days ago. HOWEVER, I THINK I forgot to take them out of my box before closing it up for dark cycle...I'll find out when I get home, was a rough morning...tossed and turned all nightThat is awesome!!! LOL!!! Now you see it, now you don't!
I am glad to hear you are watching your electrical needs. I would really hate to read that there was a fire and you and your young one had no home...
How long ago did you cut your clones? I usually see roots after about 12 days or so.
Looking good!!!!
Thank you! You have NO idea how excited I am...thought for sure it was a male! This plant has some SICK structure to it...I'm expecting BIG colas!!!Awesome, I am happy for you!
