jela...when you say "opt for cleansing"...are you saying "flushing" as in pouring gallons of water thru it.....or just feeding with straight RO water

i like to add in this stuff called S.O.S. ( super organic stimulator) and give it just water for the remaining week or so, and then let the medium dehydrate a little , and stick it in the dark for around 3 days.
other times i just chop the tops off (if i need ganja) then let the bottoms mature for an extra 2-4 weeks, and keep feeding it then do the same as above the last week

Just feeding with straight RO water..after a good "light" bucket of course, so the res is pretty much empty to start.

Kinda weird, right after my exorcist reference I watched Ghost Adventures and they were investigating the house the exorcism the movie is based on actually happened. Had goosebumps, not gonna lie. Gotta a bunch of good grows going on here. I've been experimenting with Super Soil so I haven't been posting pics, but I still have a few hempys going. Pretty ripped on some Super Skunk I was trimming tonight. Killer buzz for quick dry. Keep up the good work y'all.

I remember watching the film "Three Men And A Baby" which was
filmed in an apartment in which someone had recently died.

Well, this person was said to appear in a window during a scene.

...lol, watch the film and you can see the life-sized cut-out of the
one character who is an actor standing in the room.

The one real power is the human mind.

I do not believe in Alien Contact, but I know that the mind can
create them from whole cloth to be as real as anything else to
the experiencer.

It is fun to wonder. That is it. ("fun" can be switched out there ;0)

I look forward to your thoughts on super soil.

Hey guys, I flipped to 12/12 yesterday, and checking on my plants i found little gnats at the bottom of 3 of the plants, I been reading on ways to get rid of them does anyone here have any input or a method they use? Any homemade remedys for this I cannot get to the store until Wednesday, I've read something about hydrogen pyroxide and apple cider vinegar but I dont know, Can someone please help me here, ....Now im itching all over thinking they are crawling on me...

Edit: placing apple cider vinegar in a cup to attract them as of now,Does anyone know if i can dilute this or the peroxide to get the ones on the top by the soil line and trunk

...also I realized the gnats only after i watered 4 plants, so yes the soil is moist :wall: just ordered some gnatrol and sticky yellow pads, but they will be here Wednesday ...This soil capping was a great idea...until now lol

The substances in a bowl is legendary...not that it works all that well.

First, gnats are not a dire threat usually. There will be a few whatever you do.

Sticky traps help control the adults.

IMHO, the best way to protect your plants from the only dire threat, and that is
to the root of your plants, is to apply predatory nematodes to your soils as you
start a grow.

There are many other answers here. "Go-Gnats" is cedar oil, and it did nothing
to a serious infestation that I suffered. (I now think of it as a chant...as in:
"Yay Gnats! Fight Gnats! Goooooooo Gnats! ;0)

Good luck,

JD

That's funny as hell JD! Little gin and juice for the gnats to celebrate with.

FJG I've heard that diatomaceous earth can help with controlling the larvae which live in the root zone. But the only thing I've seen first hand that works is what JD said, predator nematodes.

Yeah...tried the DE too. No Joy.

I must add that my infestation was historic, and due to a disastrous
soil change between Crops.

Good luck,

JD

I have used fly tapes for gnats, just hang around the room, catches all kinds of stuff...use the vinegar to draw them...hang the tape above it and check every day.

from a hempy perspective....do you flush, and/or eliminate/reduce nutes before harvesting? I would like to hear the opinions from my WOH friends

* Flush.... pouring thru lots of straight water for X days
* Eliminate.... no nutes for X days
* Reduce.... less nutes for X days
* Full blast.... normal nutes until harvest
Full blast, but I use a additive from house of garden called drip clean wich helps reduce salt buildup.
