"What is an 'Altcoin' and Why Should I Care?"

So, many new people are coming to bitcoin and that means there are people wondering how Bitcoin can be integrated into their companies, as well as wondering what an altcoin is. So, I decided to present both together.

If you are looking for a way to integrate Bitcoin into your company, but you don't want to pay over $500 for each coin while having to buy a mass amount of coins, then what you can do is MAKE YOUR OWN COIN. You may be wondering "what does this mean?". This website you are on (I posted this on Bitcointalk.org first, just letting you guys in on it) is THE PLACE to talk about Bitcoins on the internet and this section is THE PLACE to talk about altcoins, so if you take the time to look around, you will soon learn that there are not many things to do besides buy coins, or buy expensive mining equipment. But I offer you an alternative, CREATE YOUR OWN COIN.

Altcoins are Bitcoin clones, and if you find someone that knows C++ (hundreds of people on Bitcointalk) then you can get your own coin made, for probably the cost of 1 bitcoin or even less. So you would OWN a currency, an entire new form of "bitcoin" and you could call it whatever you want. And if you ask the person that knows code (or if you know what you are doing) to copy the devcoin code you can have a percentage of the coins directed to any projects you want. So if you want employees you can put them towards that, and if you want charity you can put it towards that. ANYTHING you want. Devcoin's percentage goes to writers and developers.

Then, if you are wondering how a coin earns value and gets popular. First, all you have to do is go to the section of the website I posted this in (called "altcoins" ) then post about your coin, asking people to mine it (that is something your coder can help you set up) and people here on this website will mine your coin just for fun. Then you can tell the people that earn the percentage of your coin to come to this site also (for updates and to help promote the coin). Then eventually you will want to open some form of online shop or start some form of membership and make it where you have to use your coin there. So then your coin has value. On top of that, you can talk to people that made other coins in this section and the communities that follow them, and try to integrate the communities to help each other.

Altcoins (once they gain value) can be traded for Bitcoin, Bitcoin can be used on various websites (or sold for cash). Good luck

I like this one. It seems spot on.

You really need to stop with the drugs, as it's clearly affecting your:

[X] Ability to comprehend statements
[X] Ability to speak [and type] coherently
[X] Ability to give thought-out ideas on how to enhance Devcoin
[X] Ability to bring positive influence in, rather than suggesting that more low-quality writers join the project for quick cash

When you are able to fulfill all of the above, I will start taking your suggestions and comments seriously. Until then all I can do is take it in as being drug-induced babbling.

Generally, I just flat out ignore your ridiculous statements. When you start trying to affect the project I support by lowering the quality and value of it, that is when I have to step in. If you cared about Devcoin, you would start evaluating what your decisions have on both short-term and long-term goals of it.

Respected members of a weed forum? Which one of you does Fox and CNN come to then? I didn't know we had respected members of society here on RIU. I always thought I was talking to a bunch of stoned losers whose wives are doing all the work, or they wouldn't have the time to stalk me from the ages of 19-21 (I was 19 when this started)

Not this forum silly. The one you pointed us to. The one focused on this topic. The one where they all think you're a blithering idiot who is ruining what they are trying to create and promote.

You'#re trying to write a book but don't understand the difference between "that" and "this?

Oh, you mean the one where you guys stalked me to, but I still seem to get plenty of attention even though you guys work your hardest to make me look like an ass there? I have multiple threads there with over 4,000 views and growing (and I lost my normal account and had to make a new one like 2 weeks ago, so this is just from this 2 weeks)

No, the one you told us about in your first post finny. Bitcointalk. the place where everyone thinks you're a plague to their cause. the one where the quote came from.

Why do you use this forum if you put everyone on your ignore list? Do you not see the recurring trend whether here, or elsewhere, people don't want you around. Soi you're saying all that hate people had for you that i was reading, that was all just from the past 2 weeks? You do good work! :D

How original finny. Not ripping off the anarchists cookbook at all with that title. Your creative genius knows no bounds.
And Abbie Hofmann on the same page. Impressive for four words!

Fin there's already plenty of other currencies working to address any issues btc may have. Just releasing a clone is the cryptocurrency equivalent of inflation except that it doesn't dilute the original currencies value, it just means your new one is worthless unless it offers a technical advantage over BTC AND you can convince people to start adopting it.

On his other forum, he was telling people to go on amazon and buy petri dishes and other such junk and make youtube videos of them as a means of promoting the use of the currency.

They also all told him to fuck off because they didn't want him flooding their idea with low quality youtube video's and taleentless writers. In short he is not liked over there, which might explain why he's now trying it over here instead. Burn one bridge, move to the next.
