Okay all...at this point we have myself, Seamaiden, Hydrotech364, and Honkeytown growing Subcool's Conquistador. Even though we're not all growing organic, I felt this was the best forum for this thread. Hopefully we can give a very thorough representation of the strain!
So I guess we should begin by each stating the basic details of our grow (location, indoor/outdoor, nutes, growing media, etc.)
I'm in the great state of NY. I'm growing outdoors in containers and indoors in my brand new aeroponic cabinet which can be seen here:
STEALTH HYDROPONIC GROW CABINET CAB BOX LIGHT SYSTEM 1 - eBay (item 260243157368 end time May-29-08 03:42:19 PDT)
Right now my seeds are germinating in rockwool cubes outdoors. Cubes were soaked in tap water with a few drops of lemon juice to bring it to pH 5.5. Seeds were soaked in tap water for 24 hours. For this grow I will be using Supernatural GroAqua powdered nutes for veg (because I got a sample with my cab) and switching to FloraNova One-Part Bloom (4-8-7) from General Hydroponics for flowering (because that's what the guy at the hydro store recommended.)
I have three big questions here: one, should I put foil or mylar or something reflective inside my cab? Two, do I need to get an aerator stone of some sort for my reservoir? It only came with the pump/sprinkler. I was looking at Supernatural's Excellofizz tablets and wondering if they would do the same job plus provide eucalyptus to cover odor. Three, I don't have a carbon filter in my cab, so do I need one or should I just use the tablets?
The outdoor plants were started on May 1 and May 15. Only one of the May 1 plants survived. Six of the May 15 ones did. They're growing in a mix of MG organic and a locally-produced organic potting soil with worm castings -- except for one which is in regular MG soil for comparison. When it's time to flower I'll be switching to bat guano on the organic ones and MG fertilizer on the MG one. I'm doing LST on all but one of them. Here's what they looked like a few days ago:
Okay, everyone else start, and please add as many pics as possible! (Speaking of which can someone tell me how to do thumbnails please?)
Start it up!
