Growing without extra nutes?

I live in the southeast where I get sun all year long, it was 85 today, lots of sun n lots of sand. Iv thrown random clones or even seedlings out that i didnt have room for n I can tell you this 1 thing, it is just a weed, it will grow without much care, however my homegrown that I actually take care of is pretty damn nice, the extra plants I just put out n let it run are no better than the next guys shit. Good genetics with a good medium/nutes/environment is what makes a good plant. Bad weed will get u high, good weed will make you money, great weed will make you money and let you improve even more on your lready good operation. Always aim higher the next time, after a few grows your only goal will be growing start to finish without dropping leaves and harvesting with the perfect ppm start to finish.

For some one with no or little garden experiance it's almost always better to go the basic simple route then advanced technics

I believe most of the trouble people have growing comes from 'overcare' than neglect , even slight fertlization without comming close to burning a plant can make it more prone to diease/mold/pests

For your first Time I would not fertlize unless I saw signs of a deficeny , with rich soil thats unlikely

Like others have said it's just a weed ,a weed that can become invasive in some places

U can use organic nutes if u want like earth juice. But to answer your initial question yes you can just layer your top soil with raw organic as needed but thats way harder imo then just measuring nutes and wattering your medium. To add the raw organic individually requires much more understanding and skill not just for the recipe but for diagnosing plant nutrient deficiencys in general! I see it like baking from scratch as opposed to baking out of a box with instructions on the back!

Doubt any bag soil will carry the plant through flowering with out some additives. Sometimes even Supersoil needs help. Marijuana is a very heavy feeder. You can use those cheap tubs of Peters from Walmart and get a decent plant. Just keep the nute strength to about 30 - 40% of what they recommend. You can also get General Hydroponics in pint bottles pretty cheap. That will be enough for a couple plants when you start with decent soil.

I fairly new to growing and I just don't understand how slight fertilization can make a plant more prone to diease/mold/pests? I always go by the idea that less is more. i used way less nutes than what was recommended by the manufacturer and i had great results without any diease and mold and only had slight pest problems, which are common for outdoor growers. And also, just to clear it up, cannabis is not a weed, it's an annual.

Slight was likely not the right word to use but light+

What happens is when a plant has a excess of nutrients (not enouth to burn) it will grow faster, but the plant will still be behind in the production of certain chemicals that inhibit diease/infection/bugs , This will make infection more possible untill the plant can compensate .
Also as the plant grows faster than normal the cell walls can become incompletely formed which makes them more vunerable to infections .

When a plant is under good or better conditions the fertlization is rarely a problem but it can be , espicaly to a novice

Years ago their was even a saying that MJ grows best when left alone

Wish you the best of luck

So how in the world is anybody supposed to know the exact "right" amount of nutes to feed your plants? I don't have a microscope to look at how well the cell walls are forming. Obviously nutes work well, it's been track proven.
