There sure is some hope. I wouldn't even bother with ladybugs. I used everything, but the best results hands down was the "No pest strips"

It's really harmful to anything living, so I wouldn't leave a pet in the same room or I wouldn't stay in there too long but do some research on it and I promise you it will kill the gnats and anything else in that room other than you plants.

you can use a pyrethum fogger, but wait 2 - 3 weeks after to harvest.

the smallest i've flowered in with good results is a 1 gallon pot. i have flowered in beer cups. the buds came out nice but they were kinda small.

i'd use as big a pot as you can get away with. even though you can grow big plants in small pots i think more room is always better.
