Getting ready to move & trying to think of everything

FWIW, Bruce Bugbee has spoke on this topic and from his studies he says feeding synthetically produces higher quality than organic.

Ideal driver for 6 x 4 foot bridgelux gen 2 strips

I'll probably put a box fan over the fixture to cool the lights. I saw that graying.geek does this and gets pretty good temps. Good looking out!

Ideal driver for 6 x 4 foot bridgelux gen 2 strips

Right on, I may just order that driver from digikey then. Does it need to be the B model? The A has a voltage from 38 - 45 while the B is 21 - 42. Nevermind I see you recommended the A. Just got confused looking at the specs

Ideal driver for 6 x 4 foot bridgelux gen 2 strips

Yeah I was thinking I could get by with the 320. I'll get the 48A so I can avoid soldering a potentiometer. Appreciate the help @nfhiggs and @ANC! Turns out Arrow does not have the 48 in stock, would the 1050A work similar to the 1400?

Ideal driver for 6 x 4 foot bridgelux gen 2 strips

The datasheet says that typical power is 27.3 w. Is there a driver you think that would fit better for this build?

Ideal driver for 6 x 4 foot bridgelux gen 2 strips

I hope I am reading this right but you are saying it would be better to get a bigger driver than the 480?

Ideal driver for 6 x 4 foot bridgelux gen 2 strips

Hey everyone, Arrow is doing a 10% their site right now so I am pulling the trigger on 6 x bridgelux gen 2 strips that I want to run @ 100%. Ledgardener has a driver calculator and it recommends the HLG-480-48 but the calculator uses gen 1 strips. Is there a better driver for my selection? Also...

    Bridgelux EB-series on a 2' x 4' SCROG

LOL i did the measurements earlier and was getting 44" but I was excited when you said 39" because you had the strips. Should still be fine even if they are touching the tents. I thought the drivers would work for the gen 2 but the driver specs still confuse me on how to make them compatible. I...

    Bridgelux EB-series on a 2' x 4' SCROG

Hey GG, Did you use anything to protect the wires running to the driver? It looks like you have something on the 3rd page. I'm guessing you tinned the ends of the wires as well

    Bridgelux EB-series on a 2' x 4' SCROG

Right on, and just so I understand this right you hooked 4 of the strips to one of the Meanwell drivers? These drivers I believe have a built in potentiometer too (Do you need a kill a watt to get them identical when dimmed?). Will they dim enough for seedlings? Hoping to only use 1 light. Also...

    Bridgelux EB-series on a 2' x 4' SCROG

Hey GG, couple more questions sorry. I am going to try and replicate your build and want to use a 2' x 4' tent that I think may be too small for the lights maybe? Your tent looks DIY (well made of course) and am wondering what the dimensions of the frame of your build is. edit: saw the post...

Samsung F Series LED Strip Build for a 3x3' (links for ALL parts inc.)

Right on, the tents I was looking at are rated to hang 40 lbs so now I am a little worried lol. Could always just have the fan and carbon outside if I need to. Thanks for the info

Hey skoomd, You mentioned your fixture was heavy in the other thread, what would you estimate the total weight to be?

    Bridgelux EB-series on a 2' x 4' SCROG

Hey GG, How heavy is your fixture? The tents I am looking at are saying they max out at 40 lbs.
