Yeah, you can flower them just long enough to find out what sex they are. I've done it alot over the years. I use clones now but used to use the other method.It does slow them down but I wouldn't call it a shock.It takes about 2 weeks for them to start putting out regular growth again and it may continue to be a little hairy around the bottom but,will go right back to doin it's thing. I used to plant around the 15th of April,flower the first week of May,reveg until the 2nd week of June,then plant outside. 2nd week of June are the longest days of the year,16 hrs per day in the midwest,even more south of here. This method does away with having to make clones and, weed from seed always does better.
