Ok thanks. Yes that type of rockwool setup with slabs seems to be pretty popular in commercial setups.
I know there must be a reason for it, but what is the main benefit to drip irrigating the cubes on slabs as opposed to just flood and drain?

Regarding the rain water, yes we have a high average yearly rainfall where I am.... rain filled this 5000Lt (1300Gal) tank up in less...
I like the simplicity of 4 per light also, I'm just concerned about the extra veg time that would then be required.
I don't have a plan for IPM yet, but it will be a sealed room.
I think I have decided on 9 plants per light which would be 27 plants per 5x15ft table for a total of 54 plants in the flower room.
Do you think this would work ok? How many mother plants would be needed to support this?

I was thinking drip irrigation, my only fresh water source is rain water. I currently have a full 5000lt rain water tank installed outside the grow space.
