first tip would be to get a dr. recommendation. That will save you from jail and having your stuff taken by the police.
second tip would be to read a lot of the more experienced growers journals. ( ie. Cruzer101, Earl, and SiCC ). That will give you 3 experienced grower point of view and a shit ton of knowledge.
third tip would be to start small but try every method for yourself. (ie. grow in dirt, hydro, or aero) Try cloning, veg to flower and then try back to veg, get your nutrient mix down, learn what burns the plants and how to flush plants.
