Ok, for the auto's all you need is the MH light. That's your vegging light. It will take you from seed to harvest with great results.
My other buddie just bought the Afghan Kush Ryder to. If it's as good as there Pakistan Ryder, then your set.

I happen to have a couple of photo plants going at the moment. Then back to the almighty auto's again. The photo plants are LSD by BARNEYS FARM and a Sharksbreath by DNA. They are just going into their flowering stages now.

When your drying your plants, the temp. should be around 26.6C with a humidity around 45%. After you cut it down, hang her on a wire. Use an oscillating fan to help dry her. Let the fan go for 2 or 3 days, then point the fan away from your plants and keep the air circulating. Oh, you'll want to dry them in the dark. Light also deteriorates the strength of the weed. Then you'll want to cure them in seal-able jars. As far as the tricome color goes clear means she's not ready. Cloudy means your getting close. Amber at 50% is to much. When they turn amber color that means the tricromes are starting to deteriorate. I harvest when my trics are around 10% amber maybe 20% at max. As far as the watering goes, stop at 3 days before harvest. But don't let the plant go so long that she starts to wilt.

Hay Doc, all is well. Just finished up harvesting a photo period plant. Waiting on it to dry a bit before starting some auto ak-47, pakistan ryder and a roadrunner. Dude your plants look great. I'm glad your grow went well!
Do you have any fluorescent fixtures? I kept meaning to tell you this but it seemed I was always busy or just forgot. Anyway, When your plants stretched, I believe it was because you couldn't keep them close to the MH cause of the heat, right? Well, just try this out on your next grow. After the seeds pop, leave them under the fluorescents, as close as possible, until they have 3 sets of leaves. Then put them under your MH for the rest of the grow. Don't use your HPS bulbs. If you think those buds you have now are nice, wait and see what they look like grown under your MH only bulbs. It's just a thought. But the plants will grow bigger/faster.

Hy Doc, hows it going man? I looked at your pics and they look fine. Can I ask you why you switched to bloom bulbs on your Auto's? On your next grow, don't switch bulbs and run the light cycle on 20/4. I know you'll see a big difference in the plants size and potency.

Man your plants are really beautifull now. They started to branch seriously. You'll have great harvests. They are all AK?. You'll have a little space problem with 6 plants in the box but you'll be ok. Really nice growing man-they are all girls?

And you'll love the smoke. They are auto AK from Lowlife no? Lower the lights as much as you can and put a fan or two to blow air between the bulbs and the tops of the plants. Hey buddy. So I was right with the AK guess.No matter what kind of light you use, the bulbs should be as close as possible to the tops of the plants, without burning them or overheat them. Probably you couldn't keep the HPS down because of the heat.Next time you should start with CFLs till they are about2-3 weeks then put them under the other bulbs you got. And keep the cfls close to 1 inch from the top-they won't burn the seedlings and if you got a small fan to cool the cfls, you are great. After 2 weeks they will wxplode under the HPS. You'll have less yeld this time but next time you'll double it. If you want, you can check my akbums and see other AK-I'm not a real grower, I just have a small setup and I'm a beginer too. I only use now 130 watt CFL. So my plants are small. But you can do really good with those bulbs-you'll have big yelds of quality ganja. Have you smoked auto AK before?

Hey man how's it going? I seen the pics you posted and I want to ask you what kind of lights are you using, how old are the plants, what strain it is (looks like AK) and why do you think they are so streched. I also have problems with the streching everytime. In my current grow I try to LST a plant-I'll post some pics later

Hay doc, that's why I started this group, question and answer deal. I don't mind at all. Plus your right, "you can only keep knowledge by passing it on". Very good advice. Your temps are perfect dude. Do you have a way to check you humidity? Should be between 40% and 60%. Ya know I kinda liked the look of the palm tree plants. But, for future reference, if they stretch like that on you the next time just transplant them in there home pot like normal, but plant it about 1/2 way up on the stem. Won't hurt a thing, plus it gives the little plant some support. Man your gonna have fun, with all those plants, at harvest time. I started out on my 1st grow w/4 plants. At harvest, I was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Well, if ya need anything at all just drop a line man. And, all looks very well. Keep the pics coming.

Sorry man, I didn't mean to take so long to get back to your pics. All real nice. I like the grow box. Have you used it before or is this it's first run? Just wandering how the temps. and humidity run in her? They pretty consistent? Plants look nice to. Curious, did they stretch at first? They resemble a palm tree. Don't fret, they look healthy and you won't have no problems. Keep those updates coming

Yeah, I've never heard of that before. You might try it though. I grow in a spare bedroom w/two windows that I black out and sealed up. I didn't want to bother with duck work and in-line fans so I purchased a rabbit air purifier w/a carbon filter plus it's got a pollen button on it w/a hepa filter. It was a bit expensive ($400) but it works very well.
If you do try it and it works, let me know. People are always looking for better ways to control odors.
