  • Hi,

I saw your post about freeze drying your harvest. Do you still do this? Would you be willing to share the settings?

I've been considering pulling the trigger on a Harvest Right for months but I didn't know anyone and the sales rep probably wouldn't give me a name even if I asked him. It's great to have someone that's actually done this. How do you like the results? Is it true that you can go from the chop to smoke in a day or two?

I do love the results and I think I’m finding the right spot for my drying needs. First rounds I kept the temp on the trays at the default 125f for the dry and maybe went too dry after 17th in the machine. I still enjoyed but the flower has less body too it, and crumbled really lightly like styrofoam. I liked the flavour of my buds but found it got better when I lowered the tray temps to 65f instead.

Body of the buds tend to stay a little firmer as well and will post results of my next harvest when it happens in mid July and probably mid August. I would also go an oilless pump as well, just because you gotta change out the oil every use and was hard to find during Covid. Plus go for the food grade version and not medical because the tray spacing is much closer on the medical version as buds get big
