    DIY with Quantum Boards

Yes and yes, you can replace the diodes individually even using just a higher temp soldering iron, and yes a row out on your board can force the other rows in that section to "overdrive" not usually a problem but can cause issues over time, like premature failure.

    Led Users Unite!

These are high power 3030 diodes with 3 solder pads as opposed to 2 on the mid power lm301h they do not interchange, there are extremely efficient Red diodes out there especially in 660nm range, like the newest cree diode xpl photo red or the osram osconiq 3737 reds. Both around 4.7. The option...

    Diy with arrow

I realize these options will not appeal to the majority, but for a home grower with a small operation, or even someone like myself living in a cheaper electricity area, these will work. I've always wanted to do a build out of extreme high power (xhp series) diodes. More specifically I always...

The 12 up and 4 up xpg3 boards have thermal tape already attached. Which is awesome, if I wasn't planning on removing and replacing some of the diodes I bought 150 of the 2700k 90 cri I plan to remove 3 of the diodes on some and replace them with 2 xpg3 photo reds and 1 xpe2 far red making an...

New LEDs: Are they overpowering them just for the sales pitch?

Yeah it's coming off the house they got 3 phase 277/480 on my block it wouldn't cost much to get in on it, just can't justify the cost. I live 1/8th of a mile from I35 I can see the highway from my porch

I wanted a way to get a cheap mcpcb to reflow solder some xpg3 photo red and xpe2 far red diodes to and thought I'll just remove diodes from some cheap ass strips, found these the 2700k 90 cri ain't great efficiency but color quality for flower on point 5700k 70CRI extreme opposite 12 up...

New LEDs: Are they overpowering them just for the sales pitch?

Wow, I got a 150 Amp panel on a 2 bedroom house and a 50 Amp in my shop/grow. My bill is rarely over $200. Efficiency doesn't worry me to much, but I could imagine over there

New LEDs: Are they overpowering them just for the sales pitch?

I think our electricity rates in oklahoma are one of the reasons we had so many people flood over hear for comercial grows. It's dying off now, so many people failed. You can't expect to survive in such a flooded market.

New LEDs: Are they overpowering them just for the sales pitch?

How much is electricity there, I'm in okc and we're at $0.09 per kw maybe $0.10 now, shits gone up. I hear states close to the ocean are expensive for lack of fresh water as compared to landlocked areas with fresh water rivers.
