I think that it's now in a much safer place and the cat can no longer get to it. My next question is how to get this plant healthy again. Do I just trust nature?

I left for a week and came home to my plant missing most of it's leaves thanks to my cat. Should I clip the buds near the bottom in hope of saving the plant? Or should I just let it grow and see what happens? Are these buds appearing too soon? SOS!
