    V series "Tetras"

I understand you're trying to do an analog soft on-set, SDS. I'm just curious as to the merits and feasibility of using an MCU to control a servo that turns the potentiometer? I'm thinking that say at lights on the potentiometer is all the way down, the servo then turns the pot, say a quarter...

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

365-370. Probably worth spending the extra 10.00 to not get UVA.

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

Those will be nice when they drop below $120.00 each. Just a quick search found this: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/LED-Engin/LZ4-00U600/?qs=vmkU9SbkviTsM59hs1sMkg%3D%3D

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

Nah. If I were to go back and pick them up it would be to make lights and sell them locally.

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

Check out your local computer shops. They may have a few heatsinks laying around from previous generation processors that no longer fit current CPU socket standards. In other words, useless chunks of metal with fans attached. Just be clear that you're looking for something from an obsolete...

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

If he runs the 3000mA in parallel won't that split the amps while keeping the voltage the same? It might not run at the full 1.5mA if the voltage is a few volts too low, but wouldn't it still run them both roughly at 1.4 specs? Can someone with a bit more knowledge on the subject answer?

    My First Cree cxa3070

If you decide to go through with this please, please, please post a walk through of what you've done, why you've done it, etc. I plan on learning more about and playing with arduino's myself. Any insight into it would be much appreciated.

Need help designing a DIY CREE set up

I just received my order from Amelia Liu this past week. The packaging was a small bubble wrapped envelope with the chips in the plastic top and bottom piece cut for the 2 chips I ordered. Yeah, its from China and took some time, but I got z4 bin for less than z2 price. As far as the site...

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

Just got these delivered yesterday. I haven't had time to do any real tests, but I did hook one up. Its keeping the heatsink barely above ambient temperature - its a 3070 @ 1.4A. I don't currently have the equipment to hook up 3 fans to a single driver or to be able to test it for efficiency...

file it under 'extra pieces' and cut it flush with the insulation. Never seen one of those on any of the cords I've worked with.

3k has enough blue in it. I'm sitting on a 5k 3070 that I can make use of, but don't need for how small I'm building.

Got this link from another thread: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Freeshipping-1pcs-Cree-XLamp-CXA3070-led-74-117W-COB-EasyWhite-5000K-Warm-White-3000K-LED-Chip/2052849889.html I've got a couple on the way, as of now they only have z4. Still a little bit cheaper than the z2 from digikey

4x2.5 cab outfitted with a diy cxa3070 build

I don't know if you have any experience building computers, but its the same principle - a drop in the center. It will spread out when you place the chip down and it will work itself into any gaps as it warms up. If you feel more comfortable spreading it around, you can do that. The only thing...
