i had that stem problem too. I had to cut the stem at the point where it gets flat. Sorry for the late reply, been busy. If your stem is flat, find where its not, and more or less cut the stem where its flat. Dip it into some clon gel if you want, then ...wait....wait...wait....you're not doing hydroponics.
