I just started the DWC on some of my clones also. My babies roots are barely sticking out of the cubes and I put them into something the hydro stor sold me and found out that it was a coco soil mixture not meant for DWC. Next day I took them out rinsed cube & roots off and put them into the hydroton and they are recovering but I did notice that they were looking abit stressed so I've ladled the nute mixture over the top and covered the hydroton with plastic wrap leaving stem and leaf exposed and that has helped. If you Live in a dry climate like mine that rockwool cube might dry out before the the roots can reach the moisture they need. That is my experience so far (I'm dirtbagger). I built my own DWC so it might not be as airtight as it could be. I just sprouted some white widow. my sour d is blooming so pretty. Harvest 4wks. Maybe more.
