That is the trick... 12 on and 12 off (light) nothing more needs to be done.
Just get a timer have them come on at 8 in the morning and shut off at 8 at night. that way there isn't a light glow at night.
As far as lights go. it is best to flower under a high pressure sodium bulb. but if you dont have that then a Metal Halide or CFL will do. Good Luck Bro. Let me know.

hey whats up bro.i dont no if u got my other message so ill type again..im new to this grow shit but i kinda no what im doin.i got to plants growin in a 5 gallon tub in egg shells for now with tinfoil raped all inside of it.they have been growin for 5 days and i already have them at 1in and a 1/2.they are growing fast.the light that im useing is a 26w 120vac 60Hz 370mA FLE26HT3/2/XL/SW and it is workin better than i thought.i just need to no how do i flower them once they get 12in?do i need i certain type of light or what..i no they need the 12 hour sun and dark but whats the trick of getin em to flower.??

True, I used to do that but now I'm a sog grower so I go straight from clones to buds, lots and lots of top colas, I dont think I will ever go back, used to grow 10 big plants, now I grow 60 small plants with 4 times the buds. JEZZ hehe,, That guy was saying he waits 8-12 weeks to start flowering? that's 2-3months of veg,,, My god man,,,,, Dose he have 12 foot ceilings?
