I have a huge interest in cannabis as a medicine, Dare i say it!! It seems almost hideous to me that so many people in the UK still suffer in so many ways from so many physical health conditions, diseases, and often the side effects of treatment and not to forget mental health conditions! Yet the treatment of cannabis is withheld.
I am an avid "Legalize it" campaigner, Again the sheer stupidity of our drug laws baffle me! I can drink myself to death with Alcohol, and cost the NHS 10s possibly 100s of thousands of pounds from treating my dying internal organs and possibly replacing my melted liver and or other internal organs! This is totally acceptable by UK law which in its self is criminal but the fact our government does very little increase price to reduce consumption or to educate not just over 18s but really put the message of the dangers to our growing 11+ generation or possibly younger, and of course cannabis should be discussed once they can get the true message across, as cannabis be abused and be harmful to the respiratory system especially if mixed with tobacco. Personally I smoke pure weed blunts, and trust me you wouldn't smoke it all at once, but now with the price of vaporizers coming down to within most peoples budget the issue of respiratory problems can now be dealt with, leaving just the abuse issue and the governments dream that it is a gateway drug, its an age old argument that may well be true due to there own drug laws, by keeping it prohibited they force it into the hands of criminals that will quite happily introduce them to heroin or cocaine. So as far as that reads to me they are responsible for it being a gateway drug.
In my experience alcohol has been a far greater gateway drug than cannabis as after a few beers and a few shots, I've been offered E's and cocaine that I've accepted as I've been under the influence of alcohol that I would never have accepted if I was stoned!
