So I noticed this blueberry muffin has a singular triploid branch. If I were to clone this branch would it stay triploid or not?

Trifoliate is not the same as triploid. A triploid has an extra set of chromosomes and is often sterile to the point it cannot be pollinated with traditional strains. Trifoliate plants will sometimes keep the trait, and sometimes they grow out of it. It’s not necessarily genetically “programmed” into them.

Ah I see thanks for clarifying that. So if it keeps the trait in this branch I wonder if you could grow a full trifoliate plant?
Gonna try cloning and wondered if it would make a good choice?

Definitely worth trying it to see if it keeps the trait. It would probably be a huge yielder if it does.

Ah gutted, I may try anyways as I’m wanting to clone each plant incase one’s a keeper.
You know those random branches that pop out from where the cotelydons are placed on the main stem? Would they work at all for cloning?
I’ve noticed with autos those little branches are usually way behind the rest of the plant in terms of maturity
