chances are he's pulled off mos of the fine roots that grow out of the tap root, theres not much chance of them surviving if this is he case. but a soak in seaweed solution and planted, or the soil given a watering with seaweed solution will help roots grow. micorhiozial fungi also work well

I dug them into the dirt from the pots they were in as deep as I could and watered the hell out of the soil and I put super thrive into the soil. I don't have seaweed solution but I don't want them to die

Could always take a cutting in the event the entire plant won’t root.
